Beautiful drive out, was looking forward to visiting but although online info says they are open mon to Fri from 10 to 3 the are actually only open on Sundays and then only by appointment. Disappointed we missed out.

One of Alabama’s oldest incorporated towns Waterloo was a stop along the Trail of Tears. During the Civil War the town was burned, had a visit by U. S. General William Sherman, and was the site of the largest cavalry force ever amassed in the Western Hemisphere."
