I don't usually review but this place is great. Food is wonderful service is amazing. I ordered and it was out in like five minutes. Hot, fresh, and tasty.

Best fried catfish, hush puppies, baked potato, and slaw I have ever eaten. Fish was lightly breaded and perfectly fried so that it was hot and juicy inside. My only regret: We were traveling and live too far away to go to Katy's Korner on a weekly basis.

Well, the catfish WAS very good, I'll say that. But the baked potato it came with was on the cooler side of hot. Potatoes need to be served hot, or how else will the butter melt? The slaw side and hush puppies were also pretty good. The bloomin' onion took an awful long time to come (restaurant was pretty empty) and wasn't real hot. Service a little spotty. The booth we sat in really needed to be re-covered or something as it was on the shabby side. Prices are a little high for what you get. Simple lunch for two, no drinks nor dessert was $40. But the kicker was when we watched a cockroach slowly make its way down the wall opposite our booth. I pretty much lost my appetite right there. I know restaurants can frequently battle pests, but when I see one in broad daylight a good distance from the kitchen, well that just turned me off. I know it's an historic building and quite old, but....well, yuck.

Living in the West all my life I look forward to Southern Cooking when I head South. I was extremely happy with everything here
Catfish filets with 3 Veggies- cabbage, green beans & mashed Potatoes w/gravy. I would have been satisfied with the fish. Breading & seasons were just right! The sides just needed a little salt & pepper, otherwise good.
2 meats- 3 Veggies
Chicken livers & Hamburger Steak w/gravy. Baked Beans, Coleslaw & mashed Potatoes. Another good choice (I didn't try the livers, personally not a fan)
Service was good, always filling drinks & checking on us.

If you like fried food, and not worried about your figure, this is the place to go.
I got the Cajun whitefish sandwich. Not bad. It was actually breaded with cornmeal.
They have the BEST coleslaw! I swear.

Love their hush puppies& slaw! But the best part other than the food was the service! Waitress had a hiccup with the order but quickly corrected it and we will definitely be back. 2nd time in the past month or so we have been!

Best place Hand's down. I first started eating here when I was pregnant with my oldest son the service is spectacular the food is absolutely to die for I love it and I eat there as much as possible plus they make the best Arnold Palmers

My family and I went in a few days ago, in the middle of my asking or trying to ask my husband if he wanted to get slaw and hush puppies to take home I am rudely interrupted by the blonde waitress(if you want to call her that) with a hateful ",I'm bringing it out".. first of all I was trying to ask my husband a question about buying extra to take home is my thought. I didn't say a word, I used to be a waitress I understand bad days happen. She brings out food out and asks if we need anything else I said yes ma6 I want to... And that was all I got out because she walked off and never came back until I had to literally flag her down and ask for our ticket. I did leave her a 5 tip BUT I will NEVER return here again. We have always loved this place to eat, the best BBQ salad around BUT I will just find elsewhere to get one.
