Love this little cafe. Owners are hands-on and make you feel so welcome. The Alice in Wonderland decor is amazing, even the bathroom! The food is delicious. I especially like the bacon and hash brown casserole. Also like the hot raspberry tea and the hot peppermint tea. Hope the gift shop is ready and open on the next visit. Wish it was closer to home!

We stopped by The Hatter Cafe for the first time in October. The atmosphere is amazing and the food is delicious. Even when they’re absolutely packed (like no tables available) it doesn’t feel crowded in a bad way. Almost adds to the Alice In Wonderland madness. We’ve had both breakfast and supper here and it was all incredible. I’d love to stay in one of the rooms in the future.

Absolutely had an amazing lunch here! We sat on the screened porch to eat on a day when the weather was perfect. Our server (wish I had gotten her name because she was awesome) was very helpful and really took care of us. We both had pots of tea (Earl Grey for me and Cherry Blossom for my wife). I chose the Meatloaf Pie with Corn Casserole and she got the Chicken and Biscuits with Pea Salad. Both were fantastic and a perfect helping without being too little or too much. Bread Pudding and Pecan Cobbler for desserts. Highly recommend both. Great atmosphere and friendly staff topped everything off. We will being coming back on the next trip to Mentone.

It was so much more than we expected❣️❣️ We stayed in the Royal Suite, myself my husband and 15 year old grandaughter. So comfortable!! Outside on the property so peaceful and beautiful.
The Food was spectacular. We had dinner and Breakfast/Lunch. Locally grown products used and Pam Wald created the recipes .
My husband strongly recommends the homemade chicken salad! We will be coming back a lot from Chattanooga

This place is super cool! You can tell this place was very thought out with the Alice in wonderland theme and they took time to create the decor themselves.
I had the lavender tea and it was served in a glass vintage tea pot. It was the coolest thing!
To eat, I had the grit cakes with bbq and slaw and macaroni.
You could tell that everything was home made. The chef visited our table and was so kind. My dad had the meatloaf and said it was great as well.
We will definitely be back and I cannot wait to take my daughter on a mommy and me date there.
From the food to the vintage hats and hankercheif curtains. Everything was lovely.

The Hatter Cafe B&B in Mentone Alabama is one of the best places we have been ❣️ Alice in Wonderland themed, it is so creatively done. The food is spectaculer Made with alot of locally grown food, It all tastes so fresh, well seasoned, I think I could go on and on .
We stayed in the Royal Suite, all decorated in the Queen of Hearts, so many beautiful things Alice In Wonderland to look at in the room❣️!!
The hospitality from Pam and Roger Wald, the owners, is immeasurable. We have been there twice, and it is like we have been friends for years. The staff is also amazing ????. I would say run, don't walk to Check this place out!

What can I say about this Unique, Eclectic place that is a must to stop at anytime you are close. We were staying nearby and decided to pull in on a whim to experience this “Wonderland”. The meatloaf pie was an interesting take on meatloaf but was absolutely a win! The BLT on a biscuit was something I would have never thought of but will do so in the future. The staff was friendly, helpful and very attentive and very quick to meet your requests.
As we ate you could hear all the laughs and conversation taking place in this older home converted to a restaurant and you couldn’t help but to think of these walls could talk about everything they have heard over the years, what would they say? To me that just fits in perfectly with Alice in Wonderland. Put the Hatter Cafe on your must do list.

The Hatter in Mentone AL is a hidden gem! Great service, delectable food like Eggs Benedict, biscuit & sausage gravy, waffles, and pancakes. The dining room's handcrafted interior design is astonishing, with an Alice in Wonderland vibe. Don't miss their delicious tea! Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
