This was a great little place to stop and grab a bite for lunch. They had a list of cold sandwiches, hot sandwiches and pizzas. We got the pizza with everything on it for $13 and it was enough for two of us. Food was delicious and served quickly. Definitely recommend stopping in here for a quick bite!

Great market on the top. They have a little bit of everything. Seriously!!! food was super yummy! The chicken salad! The best micro-brews and wines I've ever seen in a refrigerator for purchase in a market! Literally ever!!! It's the only place for gas. They've got local crafts and gifts, t-shirts, basic snacks, and just a hint of everything in-between. If you're eating in the Cafe, seating and parking are limited. Enjoy. We did.

My family stopped in to the Mentone market to look around and pick up some fresh market sandwiches for lunch. This shop/restaurant was a cool little local shop that sells local maker goods and foods. They have a sit in restaurant on one side and a shop on the other. The sandwiches were very fresh! The service was fast and the workers were kind!

When the owner first bought this, he created a great place. It had a killer good (handmade) burger and he created a neat bar with draft beer selections. The bar was taken out and is no longer here… No draft beer at all.

Now… (sadly) it’s like a small (touristy) Cracker Barrel type / atmosphere. It’s got a few premade handmade salads in a plastic container, that are good; (food wise).. the pizza is okay. SEVEN DOLLARS for a baked potato. If you’d like a THIRTEEN DOLLAR piece of chocolate and tourist trinkets; then this is your place.

My wife got a piece of cake that was hard, stale & tasted very bland.

The two ladies who are normally there consistently conduct themselves as if most of the customers are a bother and are just plain Not kind and are Not friendly.

A sad atmosphere for what used to be a great place to come.

The owner did work hard and he is friendly, yet it seems he cut costs and redid the original cool neat business and turned it into the generic dull run of the mill (trying to make money selling t-shirts and groceries) …seemingly hoping the rental folks (VRBO & Airbnb) …will keep it going. $$$$$ The locals have learned better at this point.

The owner desired to set it up to work less, and be semi retired. Too bad he couldn’t have found kind and or friendly employees to work here at least.

I used to come regularly.

I will not return again unless he goes back to what he had OR unless a he sells it and the new owner restores it to a nice cool local place with good food again with people who actually like to work here and enjoy people.

Do not subject yourselves to the folks behind the cash ???? ????????registers… unless you want to pay double for trinkets.

Nearby Elevation Bistro and Wildflower cafe have good food and nice friendly folks.

We had a large pizza and it was really good. I thought prices would be outrageous, but to my surprise it was really affordable! I will be back!
Nuff said.....

We went on a Monday and a Tuesday, so we were pretty disappointed we couldn’t order a meatball sub, but… the pizza was so good we had it both days! We got loaded, thin crust. Day 2 had some of the homemade ranch with it. Good stuff! Nice folks there too, and lots of specialty items.

Man the pizza was so good! And the gift shop has so many cute and unique things. I loved the whole experience and would highly recommend. No changing table in the bathroom in case anyone needs to know.

Cute shop with lots of great things to buy as gifts! Great pitstop if you are driving through town or if visiting Mentone a must see!
