Big John's is located across from Kroger on 72 next to Bojangles. This place is really hard to find the 1st time. However, after you eat here, you will never forget how to get back. They serve fish on Friday and barbecue on Saturday. The full menu is not available all the time. I recommend you call before you make a trip if there is something specific you want to eat. The red velvet cake here is the best red velvet I've had in a long time. You have to check them out. You will not be disappointed!!!!

Lemme tell y'all something, you cannot go wrong with whatever you pick at Big John's. The Philly Fries are a total delicacy and to put it frankly, their wings are a sin against nature. And the prices are very reasonable too.

Cannot recommend this place enough. If they are available, you absolutely won't regret it.

This gem of a restaurant should be known by everyone in the 256! Amazing food and customer service! As a first timer, I ordered the loaded fries, brisket sandwich, and the philly cheesesteak… ???? WOW! 10/10 flavor, presentation, portions, everything about this food was off the charts! I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu, especially that red velvet cake ❤️

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Big John’s. We ordered a pulled pork plate with hot bbq sauce and a Philly cheesesteak plate. I was amazed by how flavorful the pulled pork was and the hot bbq sauce IS ACTUALLY HOT which is exactly what I hoped for. The fries included were absolutely perfect.
Definitely give them a try!

If you ever find yourself if harvest and wanting some BBQ, Big John's should be your stop. It's connected to an Exxon gas station. It's on the right side and The Event Bar is on the left. (Another great place to eat, btw.)

I got the rib combo plate. It comes with two sides. I got the Mac and cheese and coleslaw. I appreciate that the coleslaw states on the menu that it's vinager based. You never know what kind of slaw you are going to get at a bbq place and it stops the questioning by having it clearly stated.

The ribs had a lot of flavor. They weren't exactly fall off the bone but the flavor was amazing. The Mac and cheese has super cheesy and creamy and the coleslaw was a classic vinegar based slaw. This was a delicious meal and I can't wait to come back and have more when I'm back in the area.

Support this locally owned businesses. You won't regret it.

I have tried the catfish and the pulled pork sandwich. Both were excellent. I would definitely return and I highly recommend the food. Staff were also friendly and professional.

Oh man was this some good bbq! I ordered the pulled pork combo plate, which comes with two sides, fried cabbage and tater salad. The pork was juicy and seasoned so we'll I didn't even need the bbq sauce. The tater salad was just how I like it, good combo of mayo and mustard. The fried cabbage was outstanding, I loved it so much. It was also nice to see something different on the menu. The bbq sauce was very different and pretty good once you get used to it. I also really appreciated that the can sodas were only 85 cents.
