Captain D's usually provides a great dining experience that is worth the distance traveled. However, on a recent visit, as we approached the register, they unexpectedly closed early, leaving us disappointed and without an explanation. While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can occur, the lack of communication regarding the closure led me to speculate about the potential reasons behind it. Unfortunately, this incident aligns with some recent negative reviews highlighting issues with management and customer service. Despite this setback, I am willing to give Captain D's another chance in the future, hoping for a better experience on our next visit, perhaps in a few months' time.

We ordered fish dinners to go. When we got them home, we had double hush puppies and no coleslaw, which we both really like. I tried to call and speak with the manager, but no one would answer the phone. The food was okay, but the meal needed the coleslaw to balance the taste. If I had known this is what we would have, we would have gone somewhere else.

I know it's a chain, but this location is pretty great. Foods good. Service is fast. And the restaurant is always bright with plenty of natural light, and clean. It's never crowded, and is just a great place to stop and get a bite while out working during the day.

It was a girlfriend chat kind of day. We sat there for I'm ashamed to say how long. No one gave us a hard time. It was pretty obvious we were deep into conversation. Had it been crowded we would have been courteous to get out.

The workers were obviously short staffed. Terribly so but they were doing their best to remain friendly, courteous and be efficient.

Customers who see this you would think the pandemic would have taught them to have a better attitude.

Food was hot & delicious! Staff was friendly and helpful. Will most certainly returning in the future. Great job, Captain D's!!!

Still have not heard from corporate or any upper management about this.

This captain ds messed up my order. No big deal. They fixed it. Problem is while waiting on the order, someone in the back commented to tell his big a$$ to go to McDonalds. I called corporate awaiting a callback. This was COMPLETELY unacceptable and the manager was standing there and did not say a word. I have always had good service from this restaurant......until now. I'll go to McDonalds before I go back to this place.

My grandad stays near here and loves their ice. We stopped to get him some and I got a four piece with Mac and cheese and broccoli. First it took a very long time for them to get to the speaker to even take my order. There was a line when I got there, I guess they were trying to clear it before taking new customers. I sat at the speaker for over ten minutes. When my order was finally taken, which took a while because I had to keep repeating myself, I roll up to the window and immediately see the cashier get hit in the head with a breadstick. Ok. They are human beings and not robots. But then she threw it back instead of the trash. The other visible cashier was eating from a plate right there by where they were passing out the food. She had a piece of corn of the cob in her hand, put it down and passed something to a customer. Without washing her hands. The drive though cashier and the eating cashier were playing the whole time, which was lengthy. The previous day when we went by, they were closed and it was like 8 pm.

If you want your order to be correct, make sure you check it before you leave the drive thru. This is not the first time we order something spicy and get all the way home (20m) and findout its not correct. Oh and forget getting sauce. They think you can eat 2 deluxe seafood platters with one tarter sauce. Can't forget, they don't know how to answer the phone when you call to tell them, they messed up...
