Food at the Pirate's Pit is second to none. The wings and the pulled pork we're perfectly smoked and tender. The owner/operator/cook/salesman is incredibly friendly and enjoyable in conversation. Highly recommended!

Monster and flavorful burger. We picked up from the friendly folks at Pirates Pit on a Friday afternoon. They had our order out within 10 minutes and it was clearly made fresh. I really enjoyed the burger as well as their baked beans. I will be back to try their other items soon.

This was my first trip to Pirates Pit. Being from Memphis, admittedly I was skeptical. I’ve eaten so much BBQ over the years from various places in and around Memphis, I grew tired of it, and knew how easily it could be to make the smokey flavor overwhelming. Travis and his partners refreshed my appetite for BBQ! The BBQ was smoked perfectly. Not overwhelming but just enough hint of a good wood used to keep the fire going. The baked beans and tater salad perfectly complemented the sandwich, which by the way needed NO sauce, but I tried it anyway and it was excellent. My hats off to Travis and his partners. Well done gentlemen. Now get to Memphis and enter the cook off! See you there next May!

I stopped in today by accident, but what a happy accident. I got the Pulled Pork Nachos. Y’all ❣️There was enough of those beautiful cheesy, pork covered chips for me, me husband, and to let the puppy have a taste. Everything just melted together, and the tea! Not even a little bit weak; the perfect accompaniment. The gentleman that helped me was patient and polite. It was cleared he cared about the food quality and the customer’s enjoyment????

If you’re down on the beach you gotta make the trip. These guys are too humble, this bbq blows out anything on the beach..I’ve had them all. Their seasonings are absolutely dialed in. The pulled pork was delicious, just enough smoke and really good rub on there. Not soaking wet, and not too dry. Just right! Each item had its own distinct flavor. Looks like they make a hell of a burger too. 5 stars all the way!

You definately need to give them a try. They have great prices and are one of the few places in town that does brisket. But the only one that does it well. I'm not mentioning names, just saying.

I try to avoid commerial raised pork these days due to how badly raised and diseased the animals are. So, I'm always on the lookout for BBQ restaurants that offer chicken, turkey, and brisket. I'm glad to have ran into these guys.

I recommend their chicken and brisket. Their smoked mac-n-cheese, corn bread, and green beans are a must. The pork ribs and pulled-pork is excellent as well, if that's your thing.

Found this by accident, wife and I were driving by and on the spur of the moment decided to try them out. Barbecue was very good, but their potato salad was awesome, the best I’ve ever had. Cornbread and green beans were also very good. Definitely will be back with friends. If they could find a more accessible location with indoor seating, they could be a very successful restaurant.

I wanna start off by saying we were really excited to try this place based off the reviews. The guy working the front was super nice and the place was very cute.
Unfortunately our experience was disappointing.
We ordered the sampler, with Mac n cheese and green beans.after waiting a few we were told there was no Mac, nbd, just ordered baked beans instead. After waiting about 30 minutes, we got our order and went home.
Upon opening we were thrown off, there were no wings and no cornbread.
I called the guy and someone fumbled and didn’t communicate they were out of wings and cornbread. Sucked… because that was mostly what we went there for. I wouldn’t have ordered this sampler if I had known this. but we were still excited to try what we had.
I don’t know if this was just an off day, but our ribs were cold, our pork was cold. Chicken was dry. I just felt jipped out of 32$. The green beans were banging though. And even though cold, the pulled pork was juicy and delicious.
I think I’ll give them another try maybe earlier in the day id really like to try the Mac n cornbread.
