I’ve seen a lot of these in my travels and today decided to try one. First off let me say the woman working the counter was very friendly and courteous and my food came out quickly. I ordered the ultimate lobster bites and shrimp plate. The coleslaw was good and everything was fried well and not greasy. The portions were large. The seafood itself was mediocre at best. All of it tasted like it came from a bargain store freezer case. The hush puppies were heavy and doughy, the fries limp. I also ordered the lobster bisque and it had a weird taste to it.

It was my first time ever to go through the drive-thru at this Cap'n D's, and it was pleasantly surprising. The girl took my order with only a hint of frustration at my not understanding her on the intercom. I drive around, and almost immediately after the car ahead of me gets their order, my order is ready. The girl very nicely takes my payment and gives me my food. Done deal! It was fast and pleasant. I do recommend the Cap'n D's here in Demopolis, as we've been coming here for years. But I do recommend checking your order before leaving. It's better for everyone.

Food is always acceptable. Only one employee working the front register and the drive through makes service slower. Hard working young lady who just needs some folks to get a job

Good service and delicious food. It was my first time eating at Captain D's and the food was great. I had the lemon pepper fish with mac and cheese and okra.

The fish was good but the green beans were salty and I asked for the Captain D's sauce and two of the containers was empty already I'm like What! And the sweet tea tasted like dish water.

This is a nice place to eat, it's been established for over 20 years now, and still has some of the early employees, so the service is pretty exceptional. It's always clean, and it's just a nice place to eat if you like Cap'n D's, or if you're trying it for the first time. I've noticed that in the last two years, or since Covid, that the portions are considerably, or much, much smaller than they used to be, but watcha' gonna do? ???? I still give them 5 stars for their nice, friendly service and cleanliness.

Store was clean....service was good....but kitchen and order takers weren't on point....lots of mixups with orders.

Love Capt Ds, but I'm pretty sure I won't be back. Make sure you look at their signs and look for the country of origin for their fish.
