Some of the best BBQ I've ever had!
This place is off the beaten path, but so worth it.
Be prepared for a wait. The place is covered up and very busy.
There is very little seating inside. So little that I'm tempted to say there is none so you can be surprised when you find the 4-6 tables inside. There is a large patio with tables & fans, and a special window for pick up only. Calling an order in will be the best idea if it's very hot, very cold, or stormy.
It's definitely not fancy, but I don't think you'll find better BBQ for miles around.
The onion rings are amazing as is the peanut butter milkshake.
I'll definitely be back.

A local classic that does burgers and stew just right. I would definitely recommend this place for anyone. You might find yourself doing takeout as parking and seating aren't the greatest at peak times, but the wait is definitely worth it!

I absolutely loved this place. Was visiting family and came by here for lunch on a rainy day (sit outside if it’s raining when you go)

They have amazing sweet tea, burgers, potato salad and onion rings.. oh AND some amazing pulled pork, homemade bbq sauce. Delicious!

We actually live directly behind The Stew Shack. If you are looking for the best big, juicy, tasty burgers and onion rings in Alabama, this is the place you want to try! If you can't handle the large portions of food, well that's all right.Wash it all down with their awesome homemade milkshake. A+

The food was delicious and the ice cream sundaes were huge. We had Hamburger steak, chicken fingers, and barbecue and all were great. Service was a little slow but there was only one person trying to work the window.

If you haven't had a burger or stew from the Stew Shack then you haven't had any great ???? food. It's the best all around.

Excellent burger and tater tots! Loved the milkshake as well. Can't wait to come back to Alabama to visit again!
