We had a mountain view room with a fantastic view. The room was clean and spacious. The bistro food was good and they serve a lavender basil martini that was delicious. There is a wonderful deck and paved walking paths. The staff was friendly and efficient but the sheer number of guests makes it difficult to get the individual attention found in smaller establishments. That being said, I would still highly recommend staying here.

Ok, this place is absolutely amazing! The whole vibe of the property was just so relaxing. Our room was great, the views and the hiking trails on the property were amazing, and the staff were always so friendly, helpful, professional, and working as a team to create a memorable experience for the guests. It totally paid off and I would 100% visit again and/or recommend others to visit. We ate dinner out on the deck, used their shuttle into town, visited the gift shop, used their laundry facilities. All of it worked perfectly.

We had an excellent time! Great experience. My wife and I took the train from Anchorage for about a 3 hour ride to Talkeetna, the train was awesome and a really must do. The views were spectacular and the staff was great. We were picked up at the train stop by Dan, who was super friendly and informative. We were greeted by a very good front desk team, who gave us a run down on the hotel and amenities and then we were off to our room. We opted for a mountain view and were not disappointed. Two mornings that were clear with unbelievable views of Denali. We quickly dropped off our things and took a walk to Talkeetna, about 1.7 miles. Pretty cool vibe for a small town, not everything was open but we got a real good feel for the place, did a little shopping and had a nice lunch and a few pints at Denali Brew Pub... Again, great staff and customer service. Altogether we would definitely do again and it is highly recommended. We had a wonderful time...

This place is fantastic. The trail system out here is what I loved the most. Miles of trails out leaving this lodge. The rooms are amazing. I got one with a mountain view and the mountain was out so it was absolutely perfect. Went to the basecamp for dinner and it was wonderful. Wait times went a little long but our server was wonderful. His name was Jeff!

This is a beautiful lodge with a stunning view of the Denali mountain range. The lobby has a massive stone fireplace from floor to ceiling and a wall of windows looking out to the mountains. Be sure to check out the story about the bear shot by a 10 year old girl, super interesting. The room was nice and clean. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the mattress has seen better days. They have a free shuttle that takes you into town, but it stops at 5:45, which seems oddly early. Perhaps they try to force people to eat dinner at the hotel. Regardless, it's less than a 2 mile walk back from town. Be on the lookout for moose!

Beautiful location! The main lobby gives a direct view of Mt Denali as long as the weather is clear, and luckily, the weather cleared up for five minutes and I saw Mt Denali. Rooms and food were also good, but service at the restaurant was mediocre.

5 star property with 3 star execution. Buildings and grounds were impressive. Loses a star for no air conditioning in rooms. At over $500/night, thats absurd during the summer.

Where things really fell down was in the food, including their "fine dining". They seem to cater to busloads of people off cruise ships, and the institutional food met that standard (barely).

If you stay here, avoid the warmest months and make sure you have a rental car so you can eat elsewhere.

Beautiful lodge with exceptional views of denali mountain when the weather agrees. The lobby was very relaxing and comfortable while waiting for a shuttle or just for lounging. A few well-kept trails around the facility but beware as wildlife are in area and do frequent the trails as well. A couple of different dining options are available on grounds, we really enjoyed the food and views from the restaurant. Shuttle service to town is available, but certain times only, can walk the 2 miles as well. Rooms were clean and quiet, but the shower head was quite short. Breakfast is not included in the stay. The staff was very polite and helpful.
