The store is well stocked for the tourists. Items are a little pricey - so if you're local consider making a trip to Kenai if you don't need the item immediately.
The pharmacy is not at all convenient. Short hours on Saturday and closes at 6 during the week, makes it difficult if you wind up in the ER and need antibiotics or anything after hours. For that, I recommend Safeway.

Went to try some Oakleys, I didn't find the violet-colored ones I wanted but I did (surprisingly) find other cool stuff.

The gentleman who helped me to open the Oakley showcase and waited for me to try on was very friendly and patient. Will go back to this shop for sure.

I recently won a gift card to Ulmers. I do not live in Homer. I called Ulmers to see if I could use the gift card at a true value or one of the locations listed on the top of the gift card, they said no that I could only use it in Homer. I then asked if I could use it online they said no. The lady was rude as well and did not seem like she wanted to answer my questions at all. The gift cards need to be updated because they are misleading.

It's definitely an awesome hardware store that has a great selection of everything. Stopped here on the way out of town to get some things to fix my camper and their selection of plumbing, outdoors, etc. is vast

Ran into to this place last minute before closing to get fishing license. There was 3 of us and they jumped right on it for us. Polite and friendly staff.

Cool place. Souvenirs. Post cards. We like this little place! It’s located off the Spit in Homer and they well post cards, snacks, t-shirts and other souvenirs. It’s a super small place but totally Alaskan too. Come shop here when at the Homer Spit! You can shop and have lunch nearby and get souvenirs and post cards for your loved ones.

Coolest hardware store ever.
Locally owned, and lately, you can even find an employee that smiles and is friendly, and makes you feel that small town welcome. It wasn't always a friendly vibe in there, 10-20 years ago I didn't care to go in there. Mean employees. So refreshing now, to be smiled at or even greeted as soon as you step inside. It's a friendlier place than it used to be. I enjoy roaming and looking at everything.
