Groceries u003d normal. Customer service u003d common major retailers standard. Food u003d just like any other Safeway in Alaska. On every visit, I got what I wanted. Their Starbucks people are great. HOWEVER, THEIR RESTROOMS SUCK - not clean and the waiting in long lines on two occasions was not fun.

We don't have many grocery stores in Homer. We are a summer tourist destination. It's bad enough in the winter, but every summer, the shelves are constantly empty. Things like milk, eggs, and bread. Basic items.
Why can't they buy heavier to keep the shelves stocked enough so that the locals don't have to drive to Fred Meyer in Soldotna to get staple grocery items?
RV tourists are warned to stock up in Anchorage because Homer Safeway won't have anything.

Had everything we needed except when it came to buying wine. My wife was with me and when we got to the counter to pay. The young man asked for ID from both of us. I already had my ID out but my wife didn't have hers on her person. My wife said she would leave the store but he took the wine from me even though I was the one buying the wine. Needless to say that doesn't that make any sense at all. We did manage to get our wine somewhere else and we didn't have to show any ID and also told them what we encountered at the Safeway. They said that is not the 1st time a customer has encountered the same thing.
I hope management sees this and gives a reasonable explanation for how we were treated.

Have no choice sometimes but to come here... there's no room at all in AnY of the isles for passing whatsoever! The worst stacked stuff taking up a majority of every isle and almost blocking the middle. At least everyone you pass politely says "Excuse me"

Great store and sushi, sometimes the employees arent paying attention and goofing off when you need them

Thankfully (or me and others unable to walk around a large store), our local Safeway implemented a pick up service. The ordering is easy, the service is quick and accurate, the food is great, and the staff is terrific. Thanks, Safeway.

I used the mobile app to order food for pickup since I am not feeling well. The young man delivered to my trunk and was very pleasant.

Most staff try really hard to do their best; Bob is a great manager. Only gave three stars because it is very small, and very costly, as well as being difficult to get good vegetables and fruit. The prices are because of town costs, not necessarily Safeway.
