We were seated at a riverside table by a window as requested. Elizabeth was our delightful server (other staff members made sure empty dishes were quickly spirited away) with excellent recommendations. We started with a red wine flight and porter - delicious! The strawberry spinach salad was complemented with feta cheese and candied pecans. The seafood risotto was creamy goodness, and every bite of the chicken Denali was scrumptious. We finished our meal with a slice of Oreo cheesecake, and latte and the best hot buttered rum. Great experience!

This is our first time to Fairbanks and we made a reservation for our group around closing time. Great ambience, staff was super friendly and food was extremely scrumptious. We tasted Blackened Halibut, Grilled Salmon, Lamb chops and Vegetable platter and every dish was well made. Must visit when visiting Fairbanks ????????

My mom and I just recently had dinner for two outside on the riverfront deck of the Pump House Restaurant in Fairbanks, AK. I have gone to the Pump House a number of times over the years, as I am a full time resident here in the Golden Heart City but have never made time to write a review. The Pump House Restaurant is top notch here in Fairbanks with a fun and unique atmosphere inside filled with art and artifacts from Alaska's history creatively displayed throughout the restaurant like the full dog team sculpture suspended from the ceiling.

This was my first time eating outside in the summer on the riverfront deck. It was a gorgeous day, there was a light breeze and lots of sunshine. We didn't make a reservation (which, I would recommend and normally always do) but came right as they opened for dinner and got on the wait list. We had a short wait and opted to sit on the porch and enjoy the sunshine. We waved to the Riverboat Discovery as it tooted its horn and passed by the restaurant.

The service was great! In addition to our server, there were also others designated people who kept refilling water and clearing plates as needed. Portions are large and the food is filling so we decided to share an appetizer and an entree. I highly recommend the crab mac and cheese for an appetizer. It comes with chunks of crab mixed throughout and is so delicious.

For dinner we ordered one of my favorites which is the seafood risotto. My mom is allergic to scallops and they made it easy for us to sub those out and get extra shrimp in their place instead. The risotto is super filling, the fish is all fresh and the portion is enormous.

We couldn't leave without having dessert. The server brought out a huge tray of desserts in lieu of a menu so you get to see what everything looks like and they all look amazing! We got the Oreo cheesecake and the chocolate peanut butter pie.

Between the excellent weather, soaking up the sunshine on the deck, getting to sit next to the water, the great service, the delicious food...it's really what summer Alaskan dreams are made of.

We went in and the hostess was amazing. She showed us around and we decided to sit out on the deck at the end and the views were amazing. 80° and sunny on the river didn't hurt either. We were immediately brought Waters and menus. Our server was clearly doing the best she could, but we estimated she had 10 tables with about 30 people in total. Clearly way more than she could handle. The reason I gave three stars on service is because it was just average. Not terrible. Not terrific. We looked at the menu and decided to order the seafood sampler for two. Our son got the nachos with beef. The nachos looked and tasted delicious. Our seafood sampler, however was not looking terrific and tasted the same. The two clusters of crab legs were missing 2 legs on each cluster, were WAY overcooked and small. The oysters and clams were good. The shrimp were way over cooked, dry, and small. The smoked salmon was cold (as in from the fridge) and incredibly dry. Our server did understand and did take care of part of the check.

Place was a little too loud and crowded but not a big deal. Service was great but took really long time for the server to come for us in the beginning and take our orders. Food was the highlight of this experience. You know its good when you do the little happy dance after the first bite! We had one of the best oysters in Alaska! Their calamari was fiiire and the chowder is such a classic! The clams were sooo good and the sauce it comes with was quite addicting! Finally, their desserts was an absolute treat and would probably have more if we didnt order too much food! Lol! This place is one of the best ones in Fairbanks and would definitely recommend it! The outside patio has a great view too!!

I’ve traveled all across this country I’ve eaten all kinds of food. This meal may be one the best things I’ve ever eaten. The elk meatloaf is amazing the mash n vegetables were perfect. The Crab legs perfect. Remarkable all the way around. Thank you so much.

By far the best meal we had in Fairbanks all vacation long! The drinks were delicious, the meal was freaking scrumptious & dessert was so yummy! They have a whole dessert tray they bring out with a serving of each different option, so you can pick & really know the serving size, etc. A touch on the expensive side (about $100 for my husband & myself), but you can taste the quality.

Our server, Alex, was warm and professional. The food was delicious! My husband had the seafood platter which he said was excellent and I had filet mignon that exceeded my expectations. A fine restaurant that has served the Fairbanks area for decades and never disappoints!!
