The entire staff is always wonderful, especially the self checkout crew. And I have to single out Christian at Starbucks this morning. I just had a 3-day hospital stay after a seizure (was released yesterday afternoon; today is my first day back to work) and he was really empathetic & compassionate and we had a terrific discussion. He personifies excellent customer service, without a doubt.

Eagle River Carrs/Safeway has long been one of my favorite places to shop. Excellent customer attention and appreciation. Well-stocked shelves, from canned goods to produce to bakery. Lucerne brand (a Safeway brand) reliably top quality.

Not a bad grocer. Facility is a touch outdated, but had a generally good selection and somewhat passionate staff. Prices are generally just a little higher than Fred Meyer. Closer to my house, but I prefer Fred Meyer for selection and price. Produce department is definitely second to Fred Meyer's produce for sure.

The guys in the meat department were awesome and very helpful! But the older black self checkout lady is so rude every time I go in there that’s why I’m finally writing a review. I only went in there for a couple items for dinner I ended up getting some of there 50% off meat and gave her the coupons she asked did you ring both of them up I said yes and pointed to the screen showing her, she just stared at me like I was lying rang them up again like she was annoyed with me and voided the ones I rang up while she was shaking her head and siged loudly and when I was leaving she asked you don’t want a bag for your meat I said no thank you and she looked at me with complete disgust on her face and said you sure it’s meat and you don’t want a bag I said again no thank you (I have reusable bags in my car) and with attitude she responded with a chuckle and a uhh ok. She’s done rude things like this numerous times over the past few months so I will for now on go to a regular check out lane and wait in the longer line whenever she is working or just go to Fred meyer from now on.

Good store, just bad service. Bought a box of cookies at 7:57pm, took a bite in the car and they hurt my teeth. Went back in to return them and was turned away by the customer service manager saying they had just closed and I couldn’t return anything until tomorrow… could they not replace my cookies right there? Kinda aggravating

I visited the store only for the pharmacy section. The store has two entrances and one of them was locked. When asked about the reason, the staff mentioned the high rate of theft in the area as the reason. Regrettably, that is a sad state of affairs and I would encourage customers giving their business to this store.

They hire Ukrainian refugees here, so that is awesome. Victor helped me bag up my groceries and also protected my new house plant from cold exposure with an extra bag on top. And this place gets random and good shipments of unusual house plants but they don’t last long on the floor. Good juice selection. Bell peppers could be a little fresher, but Alaska is a tough place for produce.

They have one of the best produce sections, but not meat or seafood. 5 dollar Fridays are great. You can usually find here, what other places don't have.
