After hearing much about this place from a coworker, I decided to celebrate my Step Dad here today for lunch.

On 1st impressions, the place is kinda small for the amount of people they seem to get. The entrance is a bit of a problem: soon as you open the door you're faced with a greeting counter where people might already be getting checked out, which then forces anyone trying to come in to have to wait outside with the door open as to not obstruct the already tiny and high trafficked hallway to the second eating area.

Now, for the food:
My step dad tried the Coctel Maleficio, I picked up the Chilaquiles Mixtos (Red & Green) and the Wifey got the Carne Asada Torta.

The presentation of the Maleficio was FLAWLESS. Definitely know what their doing there and since my step dad made it disappear, I figured he thoroughly enjoyed it.
The Chilaquiles arrive late to the party.
And I mean LATE.
Everyone at the table received their food at the same time... except me.
It was about another 20 minutes easily before I received my food, which I get it, the place only got busier since the moment we arrived.
Anyhow, when they did arrive, let's just the wait was worth it. My personal favorite were the Red Chilaquiles which surprised me with the Spice kick.
Now, The Carne Asada Torta:
On first glance it looked appealing... and then I heard it "...the bread is really hard."
I wish that was all the negative about it but then "...and the meat is also quite tough to bite into..." followed.
Our server was helpful and accommodating, if anything, they honestly seem to have quite a few too many people behind the desk either just chatting or standing around.
Good food but definitely on the pricey side of things.

Service: 15/10... fabulous service !!! Everyone is so friendly, all of them are bilingual and so respectful. Congrats for that ! ????

Food: 4/10. Portions are insane you should only order one of the menu because are huge (5 stars definitely). Today I ordered the "Camarones Culichi", to me, they needed a little more flavor (salt or hot pepper) and rise was too spicy. And my Modelo cold as it is supposed to be another 5⭐️

Atmosphere: Today was a really hot day in CG 112F but even inside the restaurant was too hot. Good music ????

Edited 12/10/2022 - Great restaurant with food that not only tastes great but also looks amazing. Service sometimes is a little frustrating due to some of the staff not knowing English, but they usually call someone around that knows English when that becomes an issue. Portions are amazing, for every food item I get it usually lasts another 1-2 meals the next day. It's almost always busy and a little cramped, but for good reason, it's a shame it has such a small building. I come here regularly, almost every week, and I enjoy it every time.

We traveled for almost an hour just to experience the tempting menu whom one of my friend posted on socmed. It was worth it!!! Fast service, friendly atmosphere, good price, best food, and best margaritas. Overall excellent ????

We stopped into Taco Giro on recommendation and were very disappointed. For a restaurant in central Arizona I was hoping for some good Sonora style food. It was more of a Midwestern Mexican food. Our meals were both just bland, no spice. The Enchiladas Sauzas green sauce was tart. The chicken inside was dry and overcooked. The beans tasted canned. The Mexicana Burrito with its two sauces was also a disappointment. The green sauce was also tart. The second red sauce was better, but nothing to rave about. The really sad part was the carne asada. It was chopped into such small pieces that it was chewy from being overcooked. The rice was almost over cooked. The best part of the meal was the guacamole on the plate.
There will not be a future visit to try anything else. In the future we will stick to the local old fast food stop off Florence to deliver amazing food and skip this place.

The food was delicious and the waiters were very courteous and attentive. The issue was the flies. We've been here often and have never had issues. We enjoy the food and service for the most part! But this time there were so many flies. We ended up covering everything up with napkins. We were constantly waving our hands over our drinks and plates as we ate (and yes, we were sitting inside). Some flies even flew on our face. It was honestly disgusting. The staff did not offer to move us nor did they offer any solutions. It is what it is I guess. At the end as we paid the tab, our waiter jokingly said that they would give us a discount due to the flies (btw we did not see this discount reflected on our receipt and that that was not the point anyways. The discount did not address the fly issue at hand). I don't think I will be dining here anymore nor can I say I will be recommending this place. I'm sorry...

Best place hands down for great meals. If you come here you have to try their Molcajete Mixto... Unfortunately no pics. But I have pics of their bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp, chorizo quesadilla and their jarrito. Did I mention $1.99 margaritas on Monday?? All very good food none of this Sonoran stuff they try to pass off as Mexican or Tex Mex....straight from Jalisco! This place I can't stop raving about!! Bartenders are attentive and great conversationalists. Food is great..music is a mixture of ranchera and Tejano. LOVE IT! Just wish they would share their Molcajete sauce recipe with us???????? we've asked several times even our friends asked and nothing....it's top secret????

Can't wait to go back❤️
