I do like visiting La Terraza. I've had many dishes here. Only a couple of dishes have been a little under my expectations. My favorite has been the molcajete bowl that my friend made me want to try. The bowl was very good. It's pricey, but good. I will continue to visit as I've been a customer for over 10 years!

The food has gotten better over the years. But! When you order a Fajitas, including a potato fajita and it is under the fajita section, just know you do not get tortillas with it. They charge extra for tortillas only to be told that particular dish is not a fajita. Even though it is labeled potato Fajitas. Hey, YOU people labeled it, not me. So when I brought it up to the server that I didn't get everything included, as which it states at the top, I got told no the owners said that isn't a fajita plate. (Which I had to ask for tortillas and got charged for) So take THAT particular dish and rename it or remove it or better yet make your menu clear about what you will and will not receive. Your fajita menu states at the top of fajitas "ALL" will get....etc etc including tortillas. Don't trust this business.
Better start checking your bill.

They were still pretty busy as we showed up after 7pm. We were quickly seated and brought our menus and drink orders. The wait staff was awesome and they kept our drinks chips and salsa filled, making sure we were taken care of without being pests. The food was prepared perfectly having a great Tex-Mex flavor without being overpowering, and the food portions plentiful. Our order was brought out faster than I thought it would be given being as busy as they were.
The place was clean including the bathrooms. The atmosphere was pleasant despite obvious ongoing renovations. The prices were better than I thought given the three of us with drinks and desserts totalled less than a hundred bucks. Something rare for this caliber eatery post COVID.

Excellent Food, service & atmosphere. Some loud hustle & bustle on & off. Just means they were busy & getting more busy & it was only when dishes were being cleaned from tables to kitchen. My mother & I ate lunch here after her doctor appt. The inside was clean & neat. Bathrooms clean & tidy, adequately stocked. Although bathroom cabinets need reconstructing. Poor quality handmanship, cosmetically. Otherwise, food, service, & prices were to satisfaction. I had the Steak, chicken, & shrimp quesadilla, mom had the Mexicans Relintos. We will eat here the next time we visit Monticello.

Clean and friendly. Enjoyed speaking with staff.
Margaritas were some of the best! We've eaten in a lot of Mexican restaurants and this one rates in the top 5 on dishes.
We had the fajita potato with beans and rice.

Remodeling when we went and sat in the bar area. Everything was exceptional

Staff is rude, so called manager forced us to pay for 2 large margaritas totaling 40 bucks when we told him they tasted like juice with no alcohol. He called another manager who refused to speak to me and he spoke to him in Spanish so I have no idea what was said. Bottom line, we didn't order any food yet when we had gotten our drinks and they said we either had to pay or cops would be called for leaving without paying or pay for drinks we didn't like nor could we leave with em due to Drew being a dry county. Food prices have sky rocketed. $16-$25 per person without drinks. Won't return for sure.

Food is good though a little skimpy on steak and overpriced.
