Wow…what a cool place on the White River. Flew in on a small plane from Harrison, AR. Grass airstrip on site. You can literally land and park the plane within a couple hundred feet of the restaurant. The atmosphere is cool with lots of old memorabilia and nice lady playing the electric harp….listen carefully…it’s not just classical she’s playing. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The prime rib was excellent! This place is definitely worth checking out! Helmets off to Gaston’s for such a unique place!

The entrance to Gaston's is beautiful with a lot of lovely flowers and landscaping. The scent of cedar was inviting as a precursor to a wonderful experience
The service was exceptional. The waitress and her trainee were every attentive and made suggestions for things to do in the area that we could do indoors since it was raining all day.
The appetizers of smoked trout cream cheese poppers were THE BEST APPETIZER WE HAVE EVER HAD! My husband and I both agreed. They were amazing.
They have a salad boat filled with salads that you can tell were freshly made.
It really is a boat. The salad bar sits in an old fishing boat complete with the motor!
The dinner of smoked trout was excellent.
The view over the river in the evening with the fog rolling across looked like an ethereal dance of clouds on water! It was captivating.
We will be back!

Was a fun weekend. Got a basic room for 2 nights and trout fished. Be sure and Reserve the Gaston's Guide & boat... OR the rental boat at the Bull Shoals State Park Marina well in advance.

Unique restaurant overlooking the white river. Sweet tea along with spinach dip and mozzarella cheese sticks hit the spot. There's even a grass airport for visitors traveling by small plane!

Absolutely wonderful atmosphere. Food was great very friendly and professional staff. A truly wonderful place to fly in and grab a meal. Definitely plan on going back and staying for a few days

We love Gaston's!
We both enjoyed a perfectly grilled ribeye as we watched the White River flow by and hummingbirds feed from the feeders hanging outside each window.
Great atmosphere and highly recommended!

I had the french dip, there was a lot of meat, but the meat had no flavor, the au jus was watered down again, no flavor the , the BLT had a ton of bacon, but the bacon just wasn't all that good.
The waitress was amazing. She deserves a raise

The food was delicious and the view was amazing! On top of that, the atmosphere was very unique and charming. I had the pan seared trout without the sauce, but I think next time I will get the sauce. I also got a slice of the lavender cheesecake and it was amazing, I tried to get the recipe.
