What an amazing experience! My husband, youngest son and I decided to have a new experience. My husband watched some YouTube videos and re-searched crystal mines close to us and this one stood out. The employees were
so friendly and super helpful. This mine was very newbie friendly. It is a hot and dirty experience but so enjoyable and peaceful. The scenery was breathtaking. The crystals were beautiful. Definitely a must try.

It was a brisk beautiful day and there were a lot of folks out already mining when we got out there in the early afternoon. Crystals everywhere. Some of them so beautiful and heartachingly out of reach because they’re locked into rock and impossible to get out with the limited tools they sell you. I did see a lot of people with their own tools. They’d obviously been there before. Now we know what to do next time we go! A great place, lots of opportunities to free some beautiful rocks from the earth.

I have to be honest... I have been to Arkansas multiple times for quartz mining and always found tons of very nice specimens. I found out about Ron Colemans through tons of YouTube videos saying how great it is and how great the crystals are so I tried it out. The facilities and people are great but that tailings pile is so worked over and picked through you'll be lucky if you find anything really great unless you manage to get in right as they're dumping a fresh bucket on the pile. I barely found a handful of crystals from a half a day digging here. The zip line is pretty cool if you want to take your adrenaline junkies there for a ride. It's very family friendly and plenty of amenities but if you're going to collect large amounts of any quality crystals you better be spending multiple days here or get there at the perfect time as stated earlier...

The staff is very helpful and friendly. Awesome views and lots to dig through. I would recommend bringing a cooler with drinks & snacks. Comfortable shoes and a small cushion to sit on as your digging through the dirt. They have shovels and digging tools for sale as well as gloves and safety glasses but you can bring your own. They supply the waterproof bags to haul your gems in. They also have ziplining and a tour. The gift shop is filled with gems, rocks, jewelry, candles, lamps, music instruments, essential oil products and much much more! The restrooms and clean and they have ports-potties out in the mining area which is clean. You can take home what ever you can carry out.

Only 75c yards of dirt dumped in 10+ days. Few tiny pieces found but nothing to write home about. My husband and kids were here earlier in the year and had a much better experience. Based on this trip I will not be making the drive to do this again. Staff deserve 5 stars for friendliness and helpfulness.

Grab your garden spades, old sneakers, and get the ibuprofen out for later…

We’ve been with friends and family 3 times in March and June. There are ALWAYS great finds and opportunities to collect special rocks and a few crystals.

This time our youngest digger decided to hurry back & open his own little rock shop back home. You know, turn his finds into cash like an old school lemonade stand… but then convert those coins to Robux. I digress.

We can dig for about 3-4 hours with enthusiasm and harmony before hunger or exhaustion or an achy breaky back attack.

As a parent, it’s so rewarding seeing your kiddos beaming with pride and excitement as they unearth things “older than you, Mom.”

Give this place a try! My kindergarten king had the most fun & the middle school kiddos were a bit more discerning about what made it into their loot bag… meanwhile, the big big boys were hulking out with boulders.

Is there a rock shop? Sure. Yes. You can spend as much or as little as you’d like to. Or just focus on the dig site and getting dirty on purpose.

Great experience diggings for crystals and also on zip line. Zip line crew was great.

Had such a fun time here! First day we went, we came pretty late in the day and the lady at the counter was so kind to give us half off due to short digging time. Second day we came earlier and it was so fun. Not only did we find some nice pieces mining, but we got a great tour from Elijah who was very informative about the mine and crystals. If we are ever in Arkansas again, we will definitely be stopping!
