We went on a Sunday at 11. We were seated quickly as there was no wait. However, if you get there around noon the crowds pick up. The service was super fast and our food was brought to us promptly. The taste was ???? wasn't the best and wasn't the worst. I would come back for sure.

This was easily the best food and experience! The food was amazing! We are from out of town and I would absolutely come back just for this restaurant!!

The food here is always good. Their cheese dip is superb but is honestly like other similar restaurants. But it's inside the Village, it's cozy and feels authentic inside the building, and the service is better than a lot of places in the city. Their prices aren't unreasonable considering everything is extremely expensive now as of a couple of months prior to this review. All in all, you wouldn't regret choosing El Jimador over any other options you were considering.

Giving this place 5 STARS! Awesome atmosphere , the food was absolutely delicious (chips and salsa were also very yummy ) and the drinks are great as well. Would definitely return again!

Sticky tables, torn up chairs, gross CARPET, repulsive bathrooms, no tequila in the margs, disgusting soupy and greasy food. I do not understand how this place is in business. Everyone in our group was so grossed out we almost got up and left, I wish we would have.

Get the queso sauce on the side or your food will be covered in it. Ask for the spicy salsa. I’ve heard the shrimp soup is good. Luckily, they had Negra Modelo.

My family tried to eat there about 3 months ago. Food is okay if you don’t mind huge flies buzzing around as you try to eat. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but then my adult daughter found half ???? of a huge fly in her burrito. She quickly spat out the bite she’d just taken. What made it tons worse was the No charities of the waiter AND manager. We got up and left immediately. How can you be nonchalant matter of fact about dozen of flies buzzing around in your dining area AND in your food???

No way will we ever eat there again. Took me this long just to review them so I could make sure I’m being fair.
