Such a neat looking place. It's a shame the food and the service wasn't matching the quaint, old time appearance of the place. Cold food from the buffet... (including the bacon that literally just came out as I was at the buffet). It was just after 10 when I'd arrived... (maybe it was a bit more fresh earlier?).

Sad... is that some folks who stop in are traveling through (like me), and in my case, in over a 1,000 mile road trip, I'd only planned 1 restaurant stop this time. (And I'd not ate a regular meal in 24 hours.) I couldn't even finish the meal... (see the last pic).

*After leaving the review, attempted to share experience with the cashier, who basically ignored me, and talked over me to a coworker... (edited the "service" from a 2 ☆ to a 1.)

Sad to say that I was very disappointed. Friday is seafood buffet for $20. Considering the small selection and the appearance of the food, I elected to order the CFS off of the menu. It was fairly small and appeared to be a frozen steak. It tasted of old grease. Honestly I had to go to McDonalds next door for some cookies to get the taste out of my mouth. The server was friendly and pretty observant. The cashier acted like she didn’t want to be there. I had high hopes for this place. ????

Not much to pick from for around here, so if you're hungry this is as good as any.
Stopped in around 6:20pm on a Sunday night. This is a wanna-be Cracker Barrel. Upon entering you enter the gift shop or Bubbas random gifts from around Forest City. We seated ourselves and was told to dive into the Buffett. It's a Buffett. Food sits under heating lamps for hours on end. It was edible but not mm-mm down home cookin. When the peach cobbler is smoking hot but the mashed potatoes are a tad bit cold this is a 3-star spot. With a sweet tea I made it out at $19.76.

Just happened to get off the interstate and noticed this restaurant and I’m so glad I did. Best meal ever with the nicest people. This place is a must do !!!

The perfect dinner near the end of a long journey. Friend chicken, hominy, great fried okra and mashed potatoes. Delicious buffet, and the salad bar was fresh a half hour before closing time. Saved me from another Whiffle House.

My family and I tried this place a couple days ago and we all LOVED it! My hubby and I both have been craving their brisket ever since we tried it. Honestly, even the green beans are just perfect! The gift shop at the entry is really cute, too. All of the staff were so friendly, and helpful. Thank you for a wonderful meal. We are looking forward to bringing more family next time!

Good food and coffee. Service also good. I didn't care too much for the large open cafeteria feel of the restaurant, and it is largely buffet. They do have menu options.

Our waitress was awesome the service sucked and the food was burnt and the Manger had a attitude with us because we refused to pay for burnt food we didn't eat we will never go back there again
