What used to be a great place to shop has turned out to be a headache for the last several years. You've got to check out your own carts, bag everything, and most of the time you can't find one open, or they don't take what you need to pay with. The self checkouts are not close at all to the right entrance door. Lots of extra walking! Forget about asking an associate for help. They will take off so fast, it will make your head spin. And they are always on their cell phones. I don't shop there unless I have to!

The situation with the self-checkout machines has become insufferable. While I understand theft is a problem, that is no excuse to treat honest customers like criminals. The other day I had about $200 worth of items, and the NEW machines kept having "scan errors" which requires an associate to come over, badge in and review overhead security footage to determine whether or not the customer is doing something illicit. Its ridiculous. Either they need to improve the self-checkout system, or remove it until they can.

This is made worse when you consider that more often than not, Walmart doesn't even investigate the matters and has the customer arrested. A woman was recently arrested, falsely accused of theft. Walmarts lawyers harassed her to settle until the court date, which they didn't show up for. The judge dismissed the case. This is ridiculous.

Sam Walton has to be rolling in his grave.

Go to self checkout and there is a camera watching you. 2 employees 1 at each end watching you. Then there was a guy at the entrance wanting to see your receipt. I don't like being called a theft. You need to make Hughes bags to put big items in. Will not go thru self checkout. Will make them work for there money.

Tire change was not bad, but beware if you have wheel covers. Seems like the tech here didn't know how to remove them and ended up partially breaking two of the covers. I guess he figured out how after two tries.

Seeded potatoes? They have red and white! How did I never know this before? And they have onions sets, too. In addition a ton of plants that I get every year.... ferns, elephant plant, marigolds, hydrangeas. They all look so healthy.

I haven't been here in a while and they changed the layout of the store so, I was lost. There were plenty of checkouts open and the employee attending mine was pleasant. No complaints.

Awesome customer service, want to say, that if I ever need to ask a question a out anything in walmart, if I run up on Mike prince, or kiven the Manger, I always get Awesome customer service from them, if I need to find a product they will take me to it, and spend all the time with me has needed, and also a awesome job billy is doing from service desk to customer service.

My wife was shopping in Batesville, Arkansas Walmart recently. She was stopped on her way out after using the self-checkout before exiting main door after she paid and was on way out. The employee was a older man, not sure his name. He implied he wanted to see receipt and had checked the person’s receipt in front of her as well. When he got to my wife's cart, he looked it over and said I don’t see the drinks (sodas on bottom of cart), she replied it should be and told him the price back, he looked again and said oh I need to move my thumb next time, (his thumb was covering receipt text showing drinks paid for on receipt). She is a christian good hearted woman and we don't steal, everything was paid for and she got her items checked over like she was getting interrogated, and even questioned her because employee didn’t think receipt matched everything in cart, which it did. We spend our hard earned money in there for their corporate gains, and they make a woman feel threatened and feel like she has to defend herself with the items in the cart, and employee even said the receipt doesn't match everything she had at first. Very very poor service, as well as harassment and ignorance, as well as disrespectful. This has also happened before over bottled drinks. A lady was sent to catch her before leaving the building. They were not checking all receipts of all customers. My wife saw a male worker hurrying to the exit and turned around and pointed at his chest with his thumb to another worker to catch her. Her receipt was checked by the female and she looked confused at the male worker that was hanging out nearby pretending to be stacking carts. He said, “Mtn Dews?” and she told him that she had paid for them. If stolen groceries have become a concern for Batesville Walmart, then maybe they should remove all self checkouts.
