I was looking for late night eats and found this gem on Google maps. Mama delivered on a solid burrito meal complete with chips/salsa ready to go in 10 minutes flat. Call ahead. I’m really glad they’re here adding to the Sheffield food scene.

This place is QUALITY!!!! I am from Tuscumbia but I live in Texas ( home of authentic Mexican cuisine) Whenever I visit home the only restaurant I make sure to eat from is this place! I love their service, food, and overall vibes. It’s a family affair and they’re some of the nicest people you’ll meet. Whenever I’m back in Texas I always still say that Rio Grande is my favorite spot for Mexican cuisine.u003c3

Had read the reviews and decided to visit. It did not disappoint. Service was good, prices reasonable. I had Pollo Ranchero and my granddaughter had the steak fajitas. She said it was the best she's had. The Pollo Ranchero was good but different as it usually comes with Ranchero sauce on top of chicken but this had a spicy salsa type. Good but unusual. The queso dip was good and I absolutely loved their salsa. Delicious with a great flavor and a bit of a bite. I believe it's some of the best salsa I've had compared to other Mexican restaurants I've tried

We are not locals, but my husband does business with a local recording studio. Each time we visit the Shoals, we make sure to visit Rio Grande (multiple times). Service has always been friendly, quick, and the food is great! Love the peach and mango margaritas!

Wow! Just moved to the area, and the Rio Grande has awesome Mexican food! Great service, my waitress was so nice. The food yummy and filling, the drinks great! I’ll be back.
