BEST baked beans I've ever had! We ordered a large and small BBQ sandwich with sides of beans. The small sandwich is full size and stuffed with pulled pork with the perfect amount of sauce. ALWAYS trust 'side of the road' BBQ. As soon as she opened the window we could smell how good it was going to be. We should've bought a sauce to go.

The guy who works there needs an attitude check & needs to be replaced ASAP. He doesn’t do his job, always claims they’re “out” of everything because he doesn’t want to do it, never answers the phone, and always has the worst attitude. The girls who work there are very sweet! The food is great but not worth being treated that way.

Best BBQ in Scottsboro.
Got to edit this. I'm sorry to say that after being a customer for years (I'm 60 and I was a child when Dad first carried me) I got the worst meal that I ever bought there. Worst of all I waited a half hour for a sandwich and fries.Took them home and we're awful! The bun was burned and the meat tasted terrible and, no pickles. And the fries tasted like the grease was a month old! Sadly, my last time ever to go there.

Not open the posted hours. But employees were in there eating.
I was in at 2 pm. Sign, website and answering machine all day 7 pm

The attitude and service was horrible!!!!! Whoever the guy is working there needs to be replaced, throwing things and ignoring my existence isn't something someone should deal with. Almost makes me think he's a bit prejudice and that reflects on Tate's Bar-B-Que. If I could rate 0 stars I would.

Tate’s BBQ has the best pulled pork in Scottsboro! We were very impressed with the flavors.
