Southern Home Cooking buffet. Just like ???? Grandmother
Friendly and Attentive.
Large Restuarant hidden on Pine Street.
A Hideaway one street from the main highway.
Owner comes out & Thanks everyone for coming to his restaurant and ask how things were. Very Appreciative and humble.

We arrived at opening at 10:30 am. and learned it was a buffet. The setting is an old house, and the staff were pleasant enough. Unfortunately, everything was just OK and seemed over cooked . The greens were good, but the fried chicken, fried okra, turkey, and rib roast were dry. I wouldn't say I would never eat there again, but nothing really stood out to make me want to go back.

Good ole country style buffet restaurant. What you would expect in Alabama, friendly folks, country atmosphere and good country style grub. Reasonably priced to boot. Great place off the beaten path

Second time here. First time a long time ago. We walked into Mama Lou's and immediately greeted by the most horrible smell. The same thing happened the first time we came here. I gave them another chance. thought it might have been better. Smelled like mouth balls to my husband. So pungent. We told the hostess we were canceling our drink order and walked out. Please take care of this problem.

We had been here a few times but they were closed. This time when we went they were open. They said they are only open from 10:30-2, can't remember the days though????
The service was amazing as well as the food. Great down home southern cooking. I highly recommend this place????

Home-cooked food at its finest. The owner was very nice and ensured fresh food on the buffet. Would recommend to anyone.

service was supposed to run until 2:00
buffet was empty when we arrived of several items including the complete salad bar and fried okra
we arrived at 12:45
the salad and fried okra and dressing items were never replenished while we were there
too expensive for what you get and no replenishing of items that you wanted
guess lunch runs until they run out

Love the home-cooked southern comfort food buffet. Excellent price for all that you get! And the people are just wonderful, so friendly and helpful. I haven't had Southern iced sweet tea in so long, fabulous! Thank you! I highly recommend a visit to Mama Lou's Restaurant! :)
