The food was good and fresh, but since it's so busy and people have to wait, they should expand their waiting area. We had to wait, with everyone else, very crowded as soon as you walk in, and bunches together. No room for people to get in and out of the door. Seems like a fire hazard to me. And, the buffet is as so close to the door, seems very unsanitary.

Wow! The friendly greeting and service was great. Wasn't sure what to expect but was very pleased with the food that was on offer. The meat selection was ample for the price and the diversity for other ingredients was also surprising. I will be back to this location for sure.

Do you enjoy the food at a hospital cafeteria? Or miss eating high school lunch? Thinking about heating up the microwave meal? If so, this place is perfect for you! The food is at best on par with cafeteria food. If it wasn't canned before it was cooked, it was frozen.

The interior was very worn down, and it was blazing hot inside as well. The staff was friendly and that is really the only positive. I wouldn't go back, but if you love everything nursing home, you might enjoy this place.

This is southern home cooking at its BEST. Being a buffet we were able to try a variety of items. Everything, I mean everything we tried was EXCELLENT- flavor A+, hot food HOT, cold foods COLD!!!! We started to eat at Cracker Barrel as we were traveling down I 20 and we can depend on their food to be somewhat consistent. When we pulled into the parking lot there were people waiting outside. We decided not to stop and so happened to spot a sign for M&J Home Cooking. Well we hit the jackpot. More than well worth stopping. Just a note. You pay before being seated. SERIOUSLY MORE than worth stopping. $13 which included the drink!

Today my family and I went to M and J ,as you see it was great pleasure to eat there.
The bar was kept clean at all times (the cooks not only cook good food they also are about cleanness and great presentation of the food.
It’s a great atmosphere I always meet someone new (this was my 3rd time there my family and I rode up on M and J looking for something to eat one day)
All I can say is keep doing what you’re doing and they will keep coming .

First time visiting. The cost was around $14.00 for lunch. Seemed kind of high. After tasting the food, I realized how special this place was. The corn was delicious, the country fried steak and gravy was awesome! Everything on the food bar was very good. Only downside was the strange music... you'd think a country buffet would play country music.

Very good comfort food. This place has the best fried chicken and real cream potatoes. I hate instant so is a pleasure someone actually has the real thing.
