dad liked his catfish... hushpuppies were not as good as the ones we had at the last place... pecan chicken was just ok but turnip greens and mashed potatoes were good... prices aren't bad and service is fast, so it could have been a lot worse, but if it weren't Monday night, we probably could have done better...

Good food and very busy on Sundays. We got carry out. It’s been a while since I’ve eaten there but they continue serving great food. Call in seems to take preference and may be the best option. Pickup on the inside instead of the drive thru may speed things up if the line is long. I’ll go during the week next time. I ordered the pork chops with turnips and okra with sweet tea.

My friends and I went here for a late lunch. We arrived a little after 2. Patsy order the ribeye, fried okra, mashed potatoes and gravy, creamed corn, and a side of tomatoes and red onions. She said the ribeye was cooked perfectly and practically melted in her mouth. It had nice grill marks on it. I will try it next time. Shirley had the tilapia, rice, squash casserole, hush puppies, and banana pudding. The tilapia was grilled and it was a large piece. It broke apart easily. She said everything was good. I had the 12 gulf shrimp grilled, squash casserole, cole slaw, and hush puppies. The shrimp were perfect, the cole slaw wasn't great, and the hush puppies were heavy and felt doughy in my mouth. I didn't eat them. So for the most part, the food is worth the money.

Blue plate never disappoints me. It is always good and fresh. Our waiter was nice. Also the food very flavorful

Best chicken fried steak I ever had. Only change is I wish they had Coke instead of Pepsi, but the sweet tea was amazing.

This is a wonderful place to dine. The staff was friendly and our order was placed in a timely manner. We were served a basket of cornbread after we sat down. The cornbread was delicious. Food was hot and very good. I definitely recommend you visit the Blue Plate if you're in the area.
