Busy lunch hour so that complicates things. Service a little slow but understandable as they were understaffed BUT the staff working was really hustling. The cashier was checking diners out, literally running to clean tables, fetching to-go orders and greating people as they came in. The food was just ok. Chicken and dressing was mostly dressing. Good fried okra. Uninspired mac n cheese. Generous glass of good sweet tea.

We popped over to Mr. Bill's while craving some country cooking. It's a lovely option for a meat and three in the area!

Thanks to its extra large dining room, getting a seat is easy peasy here. There's also a carry out window if you're in a rush.

We were extra hungry, so we had a LOT of food. I ordered fried chicken tenders with yams, macaroni and cheese, and seasoned fries. My boyfriend got the smoked wings with fried okra and banana pudding (yes, banana pudding and cobblers can be a side).

The chicken tenders were good enough -- very meaty but lacking a little crispness and seasoning in the breading. Still, paired with the house made ranch, they tasted yummy. The macaroni and cheese was standard issue, very cheddar-y. The yams had the flavor almost of baked apples; it wasn't unpleasant but it was kind of unexpected. The fries were probably the best of the sides, really nice and crispy and I liked the seasoning.

My boyfriend liked the smoked wings quite a lot; they didn't hold up to his favorites restaurant's level, but they were still really good. The fried okra was good, too, and very crispy. The star of the meal, though, was the banana pudding: definitely the best we've ever had. So good we took a pint home!

Our favorite part of the dining experience had to be our waitress, though. I never caught her name, but she struck the perfect balance of conversation, she kept our drinks topped off, and she gave helpful recommendations (like when she brought me some of their buffalo-type sauce to try with my tenders). She was amazing! I'll also add that we thought the price was really reasonable. Definitely the best meal for the price we've had in a while.

While the food isn't my favorite meat and three-style food, I love this place -- everyone knows everyone here, and everyone takes care of everyone, too. I loved seeing the locals and the staff greet each other like old friends.

Update: 07-23-20

Fantastic lunch today at our favorite restaurant in town! Hamburger steak with gravy and onions, cowboy baked beans, lima beans, and a delicious side salad. The food is ways great but we absolutely love all of the staff here. Service is top notch! Clean, family friendly atmosphere!

Original post: I love the food and more importantly, the people here. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. The owners have done great things with the menu and decor. It's a "meat and 3" kind of place, but there's way more than just 3 choices ????. I personally love the large hamburger steak here. Mike also smokes some amazing wings that you must try if you visit! We eat here pretty regularly and I don't see that ever changing.

Had an amazing experience here. Very attentive waiters/waitresses. Everyone, including the owner Michael, was very warm and welcoming. Food was great with a price to match. Will definitely be coming back.

Best restaurant ever! Excellent service, great prices, high quality food. Everyone deserves to eat food this good at least once. Feels like coming home even the first time you walk in the door.

If you don't eat here you are missing out!!!! Fried porkchops is a must!

So Google wanted me to update.. this place never disappoints. They're pricing is on the upper middle range but you also get what you pay for. I was very pleased with my fried pork chops yet again :-) the waiter was a nice young man and always kept checking on us to make sure we were good and he was very polite and professional someone of which I would want working in my own company. The time it took for the food to come out was good and prompt. The young lady operating the register was courteous and cordial. It makes a true difference when you have a business that hires people that have a great attitude. As a businessman myself I totally get it! Very pleased with my meal and the experience that my wife and I had while dining in at Mr Bill's!

Walked in and was Greeted with smiling friendly staff immediately. Food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. Alex was a wonderful waitress. I would highly recommend eating here.

Absolutely great. Thursday Beef Tips over Mashed Potatoes, Field Peas and Cobbler. Doesn’t get any better!
