Gyro meat was cold and overcooked like beef jerky. Waitress apologized and had the cooks make another. If you're used to eating a real gyro this is not the place to find one. No tzatziki sauce, tomatoes or onions. Lettuce, meat and a little bit of orange sauce?? is what you get.

The Purple Onion in Moody, Alabama was beyond expectations. We have never eaten here and didn’t know what to expect. Cannot understand a review any lower than 5 stars. The only thing we could think of to change would be Earth friendly packaging, that’s it!

Next, love the idea of a restaurant with a drive-through. No, this is not fast food this is restaurant quality meals! The menu was good with healthy options. We will definitely come by Moody to go to the Purple Onion again! The shrimp kabob was delicious and a heart healthy amt of veggies. Will be back! Thank you.

Great food friendly staff the only negative I could say is it takes a little too long I was the only one in the entire drivethrough and it took 22 minutes on my lunch break to get my order

First time we have been able to go inside here to try it out. Sadly they had no customers, but they made what we asked for and it was fresh and delicious. We had the kafta kabob plate and the gyro plate.

This place is SUPER good! My grandmother eats here a lot because its close to where she works and she loves how good the food is plus how fast it is considering what they are cooking. It feels like I'm getting restuarant food in a fast food place, which is true. It's such nice food cooked super fast, I will admit it can get backed up on service because of how many orders they have, but you have to think about what they are cooking. It's not just a burger and fries and you leave, sometimes it's like a four course meal that's cooked fresh. Overall 10/10, I enjoy this place.

We visited this location two days in a row. Despite being VERY SLOW, our food was good. Each time, there were three people but no other customers besides us. The menu is confusing. I wanted the wings and fries on one visit and the menu showed $11.99 (see pictures), but when I placed the order, the person said it was $14+. When I asked about it, she said the menu on the drive thru was wrong. Not to mention, the screen kept having software issues or something. I would go again when I’m in that area. Hopefully the experience is better.

Side note: The management/owner should definitely be more involved if they want to be successful. Yes, I understand that staffing may be difficult, but if you plan to be successful here, extra hands on work may be involved on your part. Maybe research different companies that are able to do this. Hire talent, not just bodies to work WITH your team. Management can’t expect the team to be successful if there is minimal training and they are “thrown to the wolves” to figure it out, so to speak. Always remember: if you take care of you’re people, they will take care of you.

I love Purple Onion but this one is vile. Just got home with two chicken kabob plates. The rice is full of either extremely overcooked rice or uncooked rice which is hard and inedible. The pita was half soggy and half hard as a rock which makes me think it was in the foil wrap at least all day today. The hummus is runny and tastes terrible. The chicken isn't awful but not much flavor. Was excited to have a purple onion by the house. Womp womp

I just like their food so everything else is ok. The gyro meat was a little dry and hard this time. Very first time this has happened in years!
