The family took me here for my birthday dinner. We were not aware that reservations were needed to sit inside, so we were seated in the grotto. We were in the midst of a severe thunderstorm, including lightning, which made for a very interesting evening. Being our first time, the waitress was very helpful in steering us in the right direction for our menu selections. Overall, it was a delightful evening.

For a small place it was odd that our waitress disappeared for a bit too long after we were served. She would come to another table 10ft away but not stop to check on us or visually see that we were trying to get her attention.

Some lite italian music would be nice but they probably don't due to the size of the restaurant I suppose.

The food is always great!

Amazing Italian food in a quaint hole in the wall type restaurant! We didn't have reservations, so we were offered a table in the grotto. The food was unique and the locally sourced ingredients were absolutely delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant!

I visited with 5 friends about 3 weeks ago. Our food was fine but the service was not. It wasn't busy but we waited a very long time for food. We ordered 3 appetizers (only 1 came out). Then the waiter was kind of arguing that he never heard us order the others. We asked for bread, he asked if we wanted oil to go with, we said sure. When we recd the bill there was a $4 charge for the bread and a $4 charge for oil. We had reserved our carrot cake desserts early. They charge $8.95 for carrot cake and if you every ordered it there in the past its now half the size it used to be. It's definitely no longer no longer sharing size.
Fast forward to tonight. MIL visiting from out of town, wants to go to Via. Sure, we'll give it another try.. service again was slow. The waitress was very hard to find (there's only about 8 tables/1 room) where could she be? We asked for a diet soda (took about 20 minutes), we asked for butter (and asked again) before finally receiving it. Food waa fine except for MILs chicken marsala. The chicken was thick and she couldn't cut thru it with her butter knife. We asked for 1 carrot cake dessert (figured it was just a bad experience last time). This time she brought out another small slice and it had no praline sauce. I asked about the sauce and the waitress said oh there was none in the kitchen. She was just going to serve it without saying anything? We sent it back and just got the check. It's sad to see they've changed so much. Via was always one of our go to places but between the price increases, smaller portions and the service it's not the same place we remember.

This is a cozy restaurant with exceptional service. The menu includes fresh bread, salad, seafood entrees, and dessert. I also enjoyed the watermelon lemonade.

Got right in at our reservation time. Food was outstanding!! Service was excellent!! White chocolate bread pudding...to die for!!!chicken marsala and piccata delicious!! Homemade bread was awesome!!

Truly fantastic food in a quaint and cozy Italian restaurant. The patio is worth a mention as well...quite nice. The food was the best Italian we have found on the coast (Biloxi, Ocean Springs) and we will absolutely drive 45 minutes to get it again. The chicken picatta and angel hair w/ meatballs were extremely well done for simple dishes. The bread they serve from the oven in chunks cut for dipping olive oil sets the table for what is to come. I regret not taking more photos but we had a large party of 16....that they served well and accommodated. Can't wait to come back!

Best Italian food in Mobile. Sincerely mouthwatering every time I go. Only draw back is that it is a tiny venue. Always booked and for good reason. Definitely check this place out if you haven't already! Delicious bread and their chicken marsala is divine, still dreaming about it!
