Was in the area for a race at Barber and came here for dinner. Food was delicious. Potato salad especially!! Had to get some peanut butter pie as dessert and it was great as well! My friend got ribs and said they were good also.

Hungry or not, don't miss the opportunity to savor the flavors at Rusty's Bar-B-Q! if you are anywhere near Leeds, it is worth the trip. Rusty's is the real deal. Real smoke flavor in moist, tender meat, I tried the sampler and while all was excellent, the ribs, pork and chicken were truly exceptional. Strongly recommend the potato salad, spicey (but also sweet) baked beans, and the greens made with with conecuh sausage. Portions are generous along with the hospitality. Enjoy!

Great atmosphere, perfect casual dining. Family friendly. Owner Rusty came out to say hi and engaged us with conversation. Customer service is excellent and two thumbs up for the food. We loved it and definitely will be back. Thank you for such a great culinary experience.

Amazing!!! We had two plates of pulled pork and all the fixings and could not believe how good it was. Their Bar-B-Q sauce had just the right blend of vinegar and spices to be sweet and savory. If I lived closer I would eat here weekly. I can see why they have won so many awards.

Good food. We did a takeaway sampler platter with okra and onions rings. The meat was good and the sides were crunchy and delicious!

The best BBQ joint in Birmingham! This is one of my two favorite barbecue restaurants in the entire state. I love everything about Rusty's from the food to the decor to the atmosphere. All of it is just old school, classic approach. I also love that Rusty will come out of the kitchen to check on his guests and just rap with you. He recently shared his philosophy on making great barbecue with me. He said, "I'm not trying to reinvent the wheel. I'm trying to perfect it."

We had the smoked turkey plate with fries and mac and the brisket cheese steak combo with the Brunswick stew. The smoked turkey was excellent, the mac and cheese was horrible, worse than box mac and cheese, and the fries were good, fresh, and hot. I had the wrong idea when it came to the brisket. I expected the brisket to be chopped up with the onions and peppers all mixed up together. It was a sandwich with sliced brisket, onions on top, and a slice of cheese. That said, the brisket itself was excellent, great taste, and the sauteed onions were on point. The Brunswick stew was very, very good. It was one of the best I've had.
This was my 1st time there, and I will go back.

I stopped at Rusty's after looking for someplace for BBQ while I was in AL for work. Looking at the menu I had to get the sampler because it all sounded good.

It was fantastic! Everything was tasty! The ribs were perfectly smoked and awesome even with no sauce (and I love sauce) the pulled pork was delicious too. And the chicken was hands down one of the juiciest, tenderest pieces I have ever eaten. The Mac and cheese was creamy and tasty (and I'm a WI kid!). And the fries were hot and great in the cheese from the Mac.

Definitely stop at Rusty's if you're in the area!
