My family eat here about once a month. I personally have never been disappointed in the food. By the way....if you get a hamburger....you might want to consider getting a single patty and not a double. Otherwise I hope you are very hungry. Tasted great....but it is a lot of burger. The seafood is good as well. My sister lives in Boston and was in town for Christmas and was craving some good seafood. She said that it was everything that she hoped that it would be.

My husband and I visited here about a week ago from out of town. It's definitely one of those "hole in the wall" restaurants, but those are usually the best, and this place did NOT disappoint. Their southern cooking was delicious, and we were both very pleased with their food, service, and atmosphere. The food was well-priced, and the portion sizes were generous. I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant if you're in the area.

I go to Emma's usually 2+ times a week since I work right beside them. They're always so nice and know me by name. They have really good cheese curds and their hamburgers are huge for the price. A very clean establishment and they have very quick service.

This is what I call a mom & pop restaurant... Very blessed to have them in our area. The staff are always polite and right on point. I have never got an order & something be wrong with it & we have ordered just about everything on the menu. Never have been to a restaurant like that! BTW The burger's a totally huge & juicy! If your in the St Elmo area stop in you won't regret it.

This one gets 4 out 5, just due to the atmosphere. Atmosphericly it VERY blank, and bland. For the love of Pete, please put a painting on the wall. Don't let the distinct lack of decor chase you back out The door, and I'm so glad I was too tired to care. The food however is EXTREMELY good!! The macaroni is NOT overdone, and the cheese sauce on it was so delicious! If I lived in the area I would go regularly just for that stuff! I will remember that forever. The shrimp was actually cleaned before being breaded and fried. Too many places dont even bother. The mashed potatoes my child had seemed to be actually REAL not powdered fake. There was a slight grit to it that says somebody bothered to peel actual potatoes, and not resort to an envelope and water, and you could taste the milk or maybe cream. They were very rich.

Clearly I wasn't expecting much judging by either the interior, or exterior for that matter, but this food is where its at!! All in all very good and will go again if back in area, and you should too. Unfortunately this gem is about an hour from us. Our server was also worth every dollar we gave her too. Very chatty and attentive, a sweet kid, just sorry I didn't take note of her name. Definitely Alabama's best kept secret everyone should know about!!
