Char is an excellent restaurant if your looking to have a nice dinner with a drink. They have a full bar and their menu includes soups, salads and nice steaks.

We got Shrimp BBQ and it was good. We also ordered a Hamburger with fries. It was nicely done. Enjoy…

Great food and atmosphere. We went without reservations and ate in the lounge area. Live piano music was nice and service was great. I had the Elk (first time eating elk) and my wife had the tips and fries (Frites). Both were yummy. The drinks were amazing!
I definitely recommend The Don's Revenge. For desert, they were out of the Pecan Pie which I hear is good, so we had the Pecan Butter Cruch...that was really good as well. We will be back!

My husband and son treated me to an early Mother's day brunch and Char did NOT disappoint.
First, the jazz music just sets off the mood to a relaxing vibe that is so inviting.
Next, the food was delicious ???? Excuse the pics with the half eaten salad and crab cakes. I started eating and realized that I needed to take a picture. They both were delicious. I have included pics of the Filet Mignon with sides that my husband had and the Chicken and Waffles that my son ordered. I tasted both their meals and the steak was so buttery and seasoned. The chicken tenders were juicy. Last but not least, the staff were super sweet. We enjoyed our meal and I will be back to visit.

We enjoyed our lunch here! Their lunch menu is reasonable and includes daily specials. My husband enjoyed the roast beef with mashed potatoes and loved it. The chicken salad BLT sandwich was nice and lighter for lunch, but not my favorite. The only downside was the restaurant smelled like moldy bar cloths.

Wow...everything was phenomenal from the greeting of the hostess, the ambiance, the waitress, and the food!!! I thought it was a fluke so I returned with the rest of my family...on a different day and the food / staff were consistently good.

The staff was professionally dressed everyone had on similar professional attire and the food was amazing. Everyone in my party was satisfied with our food.

Char has specials on certain days for lunch. On my first visit, I was celebrating a special occasion and I was seated in one of the booths. After speaking with our waitress Loly we decided on the catfish special since they only offer it on Fridays.

On my second visit I did not opt for the special and my meal was still spectacular. My compliments to the staff at Char!!!

New to HSV and loved this place!! My husband took me out for a little date and we had a blast! The atmosphere was very unique and jazzy, and particular to the Huntsville are. There was piano going and while we waited, we sat by the bar and listened. The food is excellent with lots of variety, and the drink menu is outstanding with selection! Pricing was pretty great compared to most fancier restaurants where you leave spending $300 for 2 people. The service was good and we were in and out within an hour and some? We’ll definitely be back for more, and we hope to come back for lunch some time!

This was our first time dining at Char. Food and service was excellent! The flavors were top notch! Our server, Cassidy, was attentive and knowledgeable. Great restaurant for date night, although the atmosphere was a little noisy for romantic ambiance for our Friday 6:30pm dinner reservation. Not a deal breaker, though. Will definitely return!

Never disappointed at Char! Everything I've tried is top notch and very filling. It's a higher price range, but worth every penny! Crab cakes and fried green tomatoes can't be beat. The veal was perfectly cooked, the okra is tender and not gooey, and the shrimp is so tender!!! Great date spot or girls night! Our server, Michael, was amazing!! Can't go wrong here.
