We went there today to reminisce of when we lived there in the mid to late 60’s as kids. I’ve never paid for food that wasn’t edible. But that’s on me. I ordered what was supposed to be a barbecue pork sandwich with onion rings. It taste like it was straight out of a freezer bag. With about a teaspoon of sauce a few specks of coleslaw. 1 bite and done I couldn’t eat it. Cold as heck & the onion rings so greasy you couldn’t taste them. They taste like fish actually. We ordered fried pickle appetizer. It was okay.
The service was not even tip worthy. Nothing was warm when it got to us never mind hot. I love Visits to Haleyville, AL when I’m home. But no more eating there.
3 patrons came in after us ordered & was served before we were.
I guess that’s why ours came out cold. We got put aside.
Don’t bother going. I heard it wasn’t that great & everyone will have a different opinion. Maybe I went on the wrong day. We had to find the wait staff to pay so we could go on our way.

I personally believe some of the girls at work the front or the customers are coming and going and checking out to dress a little more professionally considered it's a family-owned Steakhouse for families. Check Dublin to cook in the back he knows what he is doing. Philly cheese steak sandwich the lemon pepper shrimp and the barbecue loaded baked potato are awesome you're highly missing out if you don't order these

Our food is always good and fresh.prices are also reasonable.I love that they will bring your food out if you get in the pick up line. I don’t think you would be disappointed if you eat here.And the staff is very friendly.

been there twice, both times my baked potato was not hot enough to melt butter. Waitresses do not come around after delivering your food. I always have to flag them down if we need anything.

We came up for our grandsons ball tournament and decided to try Russell's in between games. Good decision. The barbeque chicken and pork sandwiches were better than Bob Sykes. the baked beans and fries were good also. We will stop again when in this neck of the woods.

My husband and I went there and we both had steak medium rare. Mine was burnt, his was raw throughout most of it. We paid overpaid for these steaks. Why 3 stars? The rest of the food was amazing. The waitress, bless her, was nice but was impossible to get a refill on drinks. I can only the describe the atmosphere as chaos, which isn't the restaurants fault. It was the people that just so happen to be in there at the same time we were. I'm sure a lot of you love this place. This was my first time. My advice, save your money and time, go to Huddle House in Russellville. The food, the atmosphere, their prices, the service, everything is outstanding there. Huddle House has the best steaks by far.
