Stopped by for lunch buffet Saturday afternoon. I was able to park my rig across the street. The tastiest greens I've ever had, and the gumbo was thick enough to eat with a fork. Yum!

I have not ate at a Shoney's in probably 20 years and didn't even know they were still around. But we were traveling and this was conveniently located by the interstate with a buffet which meant we could get in and out and on the road in a hurry so we gave it a try. It was actually good and CHEAP. It's not a huge variety on the buffet but that's how they keep it affordable. I would definitely eat there again.

The bathroom was so nasty! The service wasn't that great and they didn't really have a lot to choose from. The shoney's I remember was just a buffet and it was huge. This just isn't a place I'd recommend to anyone. CLEAN THE BATHROOMS!!

It took 5 minutes for someone to greet us. We had the buffet. It was subpar. I had to go to where 5 waitresses were gathered to ask someone to take our drink order after 10 minutes. And then they all argued over who was going to take it because Noone wanted to. They were too busy talking about guys, the weekend, and kids. Service was the worst ! The bathrooms were the nastiest I have ever been in. The entire restaurant was run down looking on the inside. Never going back !

Clean restaurant. Food was hot, servers were on point, and we even saw a manager going from table to table checking on customers. Only complaint was one employee behind the breakfast buffet. She was literally holding the sausage serving spoon and getting on to each customer who would use the most convenient bologna serving spoon right next to the sausage. How can you justify correcting customers in a sassy fashion when you are literally holding the serving spoon that is intended for the sausage, leaving the customer no options? Would have been 5 stars for us if not for this employee. Everyone else was on point, and the restaurant was very clean.

The food look and tasted like it was in the bar all day. we was there around 5:30 pm. the server took the old foot that was in the bar and put it in fresh clean pan and put them back on the bar. one if the server spilled a whole glass if water between me and another customer and just left it there on the floor. she didn't even try to get the ice and water up off the floor. THIS WILL BE MY LAST TIME EATING THERE.

We stopped by for the dinner buffet. It was on a weekend. The sign said “Seafood Buffet on weekends.” There was NO seafood AT ALL. The waitresses were NOT FRIENDLY. They looked like they didn’t even want to be there…
Much less give you a refill on your drink. The only thing I found that was edible was the 3 bean salad, beets and some macaroni salad. I WILL NEVER RETURN to this location. I will go to the Clanton location. I DON’T RECOMMEND!!!

Fantastic food and I don’t usually like buffets. Food was fresh and seasoned well. Turnip greens were awesome. Several meat and vegetable choices. They were constantly cleaning around the area and checking/adding fresh food. Our server was very friendly as everyone who worked there.
