Awesome people, really nice! Clean park, safe parking! Creek shows you exactly why we need to protect and conserve. Nice day on the water!

Interesting experience!! I was the only adult with 4 kids( ages 16,16,8,4) which I have done many times kayaking. I would definitely recommend taking your own equipment if possible or atleast examine the equipment you rent and definitely check the river water level.

About 10 minutes into the trip one the older boys ore snapped in half upon further examination it appeared to have been about to snap anyways, metal worn. We were very careful to not use them when trying to manage the low water levels. I would say we had to get out of our kayaks atleast 50% of the trip to walk our kayaks off rocks and about 25% using our hands to push off, hands alittle cut up.

Another ore broke half way. I saw it happen and couldn't even tell you how, just from normal use. The seats were all broken (every kayak) and tied or bungee corded which fell off everytime you got up, which you had to either retie everytime or just let your back suffer the 3 to 4 hour trip.

They're were some fun spots but the water being so low affected the journey for sure.

Needless to say we were still trying
to mae the best of it. Be prepared to drag them uphill on gravel with no assistance.

Being an honest and fair person, I had expected to pay for one of the ores but the owner/manager was not interested in hearing my experience and said I probably have problems everywhere I go which couldn't be further from the truth. I usually don't even leave reviews but with all the good reviews, I thought it would be fair to share my honesty experience.

Needless to say we were charged an additional $52 on top of the $142 for 3 singles and 1 tandem and left annoyed as the 2 girls at the end didn't want to hear one word instead kept referring to the contract I signed and if I wanted to pay cash or card. Along with adding that other customers broke the seats and I should have inspected them.

Hope this helps future customers ????

The river also had more trash and tires than I would have expected.

Would definitely recommend going here. I went with my wife the 1st weekend in July. Our 1st time kayaking. We enjoyed it very much. Beautiful and relaxing trip down the creek. The staff were very friendly. Will certainly make our way back again!

Loved these folks! A hidden gem in the Birmingham metro area. The proprietors were friendly and fun, and they drive you to to drop-in point. The ride in the creek was great — relatively easy paddling in very shallow water, but some challenge involved in dodging the shallow spots. It’s hard to avoid them all, so you have to jump in every once in a while to move your canoe. Part of the fun. A pretty stretch with some pretty big fish visible and a couple of green herons. My only complaint is with the hundreds of tires in the creek — I wish there was some way for a scout troop or some such to take them out.

The new management was fantastic. The float was steady with few shallow areas in the middle of july. I can imagine having to carry my kayak during seasons of less rainfall. Overall, the customer service was great, van ride a little scary ;) and creek was great for beginners.

My family gave me a kayaking trip for my birthday and I can honestly say it was one of the best gifts I’ve ever received! It was a great float for our entire group!
