After shopping at location since it was Efurd's this store has become a place I refuse to shop.

The quality of the meat is inconsistent, and sometimes horrifying. I once purchased ground chuck, and discovered that it had plastic ground up with the meat. Poorly cut, and overly fatty porkchops seems to have become a constant as well. I have purchased poultry that was labeled as freshly packaged that was rotten. The vegetables always look very old, and bruised.

In terms of our current health crisis... The guidelines (masks and distancing) are not being followed by staff, and not being required of customers. I have also noticed a lack of common touch surfaces cleaning.

I feel this place is not worth the risk in food safety, or health safety, to shop here.

I found a bug wrapped in with the chicken. I took the package to management and showed them. Most of the meats are expired. I purchased a pack of chicken from there came home opened it up one is discolored and smells horrible. Lesson learned. I will not go back there.

If you shop at fresh foods in Cowarts please be super careful with your meats! When the meat expires they will repackage it with a new date & label! Also when chicken expires all they do is smoke it & sale it as hot deli!! It rains in the building it’s full of mold! The sell expired milk & eggs also!!!

This place is currently under new management, and they are trying their very best to bring this store up to par, although it will never be as it once was they are trying. In a small community it's very hard to start a new business were one was that was so beloved by all... Please keep our local businesses up and running guys .. spend locally and support our community businesses!!

I go to this grocery store because of convince to where we live. I carry a small bag with my personal belongings including my wallet and money inside and was asked to leave it behind the counter while I shop! Of course I say no and tell them I will shop elsewhere because why in the hell would I leave my personal belongings with a stranger at a grocery store counter?! Would you ask a woman to leave her purse or diaper bag? Doubt it! I will no longer shop here and choose to drive further to a more competent grocery store! I assume they don't support concealed carry either Just FYI to the future patrons.

Y'all are selling and plus cooking EXPIRED meat??? That's nasty! Plus, you don't ID people for beer on Sundays. Sad!

The name is Fresh Foods, but the food is far from it. We Miss Efurd's.
