Very laid-back and casual just as you would expect any barbecue place to be. Walk in order at the counter, and then wait for the food to be brought to you at the table. I had the brisket plate with fried green tomatoes and potato salad. It was a little light on the meat considering the price; however, I thoroughly enjoyed it and had plenty to eat. They offer unsweet, sweet and peach tea. The peach tea is the overall winner regardless but I’d like to add the sweet tea needs to be mixed with the unsweet so that it’s not way too sweet. Very friendly and helpful staff and a clean restaurant that you will enjoy eating in.

Me and my wife eat here about once a year while traveling through. Usually rate this 4 star. This business might be under new management. Food was ok not great like in past. Service was out standing even when wife had to return her food and they gave her another plate. Pork still cold, beans out of a can and potatoe salad was a mush. Sister in-law had the chicken which I try and was very good even cold. My bake potatoe was so cold the butter would not melt. My Philly cheese sandwich was hot and good. As of right now don't know if we will eat here again.

If you are going through the area make sure to stop at Big B! The staff was really friendly the atmosphere was homey and the food was awesome. We had a group of 7 and everyone was saying how good their dish was. The wings but big and the sauce was awesome. The bread pudding was fresh made and was to die for. Take the time out of your day to stop in and have some BBQ.

In my humble opinion the food was not good to me nor my husband!! I'd like a refund! The baked beans taste like they just poured them out of the Can in to my plate!!?? the ribs taste a week old!! The pickle was horrible!!? How?? Need some new cooks!!! I'll stick to full Moon barbecue!! This isn't it!!!!! Im sorry but nope!!! Never again! This is my plate after tasting the food!! The only thing I liked was the pecan pie!!

Stopped by this hidden gem on the way back from Camp ASCCA. The food was delightful! We ordered a blooming fried onion as an appetizer. For our entrees we had the chicken liver dinner (seasoned and fried to perfection) with Cole slaw and chili (has beans, a hint of sweetness) and the whole fried catfish (fried green tomatoes and okra). To wash it all down we had sweet tea. The sweet tea was GREAT! All of the food was fried and seasoned well! The service was good and the wait was not long at all! I look forward to visiting here once a year.

Update Update!! It's June 2023 and I'm visiting again! I had the whole catfish with fried green tomatoes and fried okra. My son had the chicken fingers and fries kid plate (with a slice of Texas toast). My boyfriend had a ribeye (Med Rare) and fries with fried green tomatoes. We had a blooming onion for an appetizer. The blooming onion didn't have much flavor but the sauce that they served with it was really good. Sweet tea still great! This time a hostess didn't seat us, we had to wall around to the counter and place our order. But someone brought us our food. Food was still tasty, fresh and fast! Service was still exceptional! I can't until next year!

We were in town visiting family. Long before we headed out I placed an order with this place so that we could pick it up on our way home. I spoke clearly and even repeated myself to make sure the order was placed right. When we got there not only was the order wrong, they did not "believe" my partner when he informed them of their mistake. They decided to call me saying "He says there were supposed to be two of this order". Which was a weird move because I've never known a restaurant to call the original person that orders when it comes to adding items, especially when the person paying is right there.

Another weird move was them making us wait by saying they would have the corrected order ready in 3-5 minutes when in actuality it ended up taking almost 30 minutes. We already weren't even supposed to HAVE to wait and then you give us an incorrect lead time.
To recap, we ordered two plates of wings with no sides, and now we have one order cold wings with a new order of wings on the way.

We ultimately gave up on the fresh wings and requested a refund. They ended up handing us the "fresh" set of wings during the refund and sent us on our merry way. This came after blaming the cooks in the back all the while for their mistakes. Which was not a good look considering the demographic of the staff. Yikes.

Not only did they waste our time, the server's lack of accountability was infuriating. They never asked for clarification or gave the impression that they were confused, but the moment you call them out on a mistake its all "taking orders through the phone is confusing," as if that is not your job!
They literally didn't even give the sauces that we asked for. Just a box of chicken.

There were no apologies for wasting our time or even for messing up in the first and second place and third place. Just hands up "It happens, Bro" attitude while blaming everyone else. It's obvious that the quality of customer service is not important and the staff that represents this business is a good reflection of their declining standards.

If you are looking for some finger licking good BBQ, then stop by you will not be disappointed. The service is a little slow only because we everything is coming hot and fresh. The set up is very much giving me man made cowboy theme. But all around nice establishment and food.

Unbelievable lunch at this place today. I think the rest of Alexander City agrees with me! The place was packed today. I had the brisket sandwich and it was phenomenal. The people are so nice and the service is even better. I will definitely be back!!!!
