I took the smoked salmon chowder and the salmon roll. Both were very tasty.
You can also eat indoor or outside. We choose to be inside and it was simple and nice. I particularly liked the painting on the wall.
Another good thing is the selection of beers.
Overall, I really recommend the place for a bite, especially after a long drive.

When walking up the atmosphere was awesome. Now that's that I order the hamburger with side fries. The burger was an old fashioned patty the kind our parents made at backyard BBQ I'm talking dad can I have another burger fried had me drooling bitting my fingers. I just love it and I'm really hard to impress these days. I'm return and recommend potato for everyone.

It’s located right in front of the harbor so it’s a great location to watch the fishing boats coming back and prepare their fresh caught fish. It was pretty busy during lunch time, the line wasn’t too long and after 5 minutes it was already our turn. They had both the breakfast and lunch menu options available. I ordered an hummus wrap, my husband a loaded burrito, and a basket of garlic fries to go. Everything was delicious and the service was pretty fast.

Yayy!! Best fries everrr!!

What an amazing food experience in Valdez!! On our way to The Potato, we had the best coffee and then we landed at The Potato and can't stop raving about the Rosemary Garlic fries! So spectacular!! We're so blown away with our food experience in little Valdez. So unexpected and so satisfying!!

We also had the Chugach cheese steak and we loved it!!

Ohhh my gawd. Food so good it’ll make you jump in the sound and start flopping around like a seal until the cops come and pull you out of the water with one of those big hook thingies and then you have to go down to the station for public indecency because you didn’t want to get your clothes wet. Well maybe that was just me…idk ????u200d♂️. The salmon roll and hummus wrap made me believe in sweet baby Jesus again, and the location is great. Only downside was the wait was a little long

I mean it's called potato? Don't ask for a bake potato though. There curly fries are the potato part, with a delicious rosemary garlic version to flatten any question of flavor. Great view of the Valdez harbor with easy benches+ bar stools to rest on. The staff Love it. After a day of fishing or waiting for the fish this local joint checks all the boxes.

They accommodated my gluten allergy. Had cheese steak minus roll put on curly fries. Also have ciders and wine. Indoor and outdoor seating.

Great place to eat and relax. Burger was really good. Fries are huge and hand made.
