We were only in Valdez 2 nights and the fat mermaid was dinner both times. Take out veggie reuben and tacos yesterday and dine in Korean Buddha bowl and onion rings tonight.
Can't recommend it enough based just on that.
Placed was slammed and the line was out the door.
Good local acoustic music.
Good selection of beers.

After eating here for both breakfast and dinner, we were very impressed. After coming in close to closing time and during the busiest time of the day, the staff still made an effort to seat us and even brought in a table from outside so we could be served. The food was great, and the service was even better. Highly recommend.

Had a delicious meal and we were even allowed to order the kids portion since we're senior citizens and didn't want a huge meal. Our waiter was super friendly and accommodating. Watched the food others ordered and it looked just as delicious. We had fish and chips.

Both my partner and I were very pleasantly surprised by our experience here! The food was excellent (pulled pork sandwich), the beer extra cold, and the service super friendly! A large restaurant, we were seated immediately.

we ordered the fish platter, but it was just terrible for $80!!!! The fried calamari was like rubber and the shrimp without taste! And we got only 3 very small pieces of fried cod, which is the cheapest fish anyhow. again the cost for this was $80, which was worth not even $20 The service was very unfriendly especially after we complaint. they even made us pay for some melted butter for the shrimps which we ordered to try to make the taste better.
Do not oder this dish it is a rip off. The cook refused to talk to us because he was to busy and the owner, was not available.

Salmon isn’t seasoned but not half bad. I understand this restaurant is busy but I had to wait ages for a refill. However you do have live music in the background, which creates a good atmosphere

Nice place to get some food and drinks. Family friendly. The Blueberry Ale is amazing! Gets very busy for dinner, if you come too late you will have to wait outside for them to call you.

Definitely a must go to for Valdez!
