Our waitress was absolutely wonderful! The view of the wharf added to the great experience. The food was good but was pricy for what we got as far as flavor profile.

The smoked salmon bowl had cold broccoli and it was weird with hot rice. Caribou meatloaf was amazing. Was happy with dinner but nothing to write home about.

WARNING! TOURIST TRAP! Overpriced, terrible food with pleasant and attentive service and a beautiful view of the harbor and snow capped mountains. I’ve had better fried fish at Long John Silvers. A real disappointment. Even the craft beer was mediocre and tasted watered down.
Coming from Chicago I have high expectations for food, and I can also smell a scam in a heartbeat. (We have a lot of them there). This place is a scam, and a good one too. One busgirl even tried to take my plate before I was finished! No hard feelings, it’s just business. You’ve been warned….

What a fantastic place. Some of the best food we have ever eaten. Super friendly staff and you can tell this is a regal spot for many locals, which is always a good sign.

One of our favorite restaurant experiences in all of Alaska!!! You could tell they were busy, but they tried to stay on top of things and did really well. The was fast and phenomenal!!!! Simple, yet elegant and YUMMY!!! Definitely recommend coming here!!

It’s August 2021. I’ll give Chinooks 5 stars solid. These guys are open and they work hard to feed people. It is honorable. Compare to their neighbor - Roy’s waterfront - which just put the excuse letter in their windows and that’s it. Food is not gourmet, but decent. I got halibut and chips and it was good. Thank you guys to being caring and being open, and being in service.

We were able to get in for an early (5 pm) dinner. Perfect timing. Got in without any wait & then 5 minutes later, the entire restaurant was full. As one of the few (or only) places that don't accept reservations, this was our best option for a sit-down dinner.

The service was great, as was the food. We had the crab cakes and halibut. The views of the harbor were terrific.

Highly recommend!

Just okay food. Not a large selection unless you want seafood. There was only one other meat option, caribou meatloaf. The "seasoned vegetable" was plain green beans without seasoning. Food came out fast but almost too fast, and some was not served hot. Their order system has the cooks preparing food before the waitress even leaves the table.

I really liked this place. Kinda feels like a hole in the wall but the food is wonderful and it isn't too crowded or loud. Relaxed, cozy atmosphere with great view. Drinks were also delicious.
