We have been going to H&R Block for many years. We have been very happy with our accountant, Mary Ruberto. She is always very helpful, friendly and patient with us. We will continue to use Mary until she retires.

First off the girl at the front desk, she needs to fix her eyebrows and attitude. She looks hideous even with the mask. Second shelly, very very rude. Over charged and couldnt even do her job. I had to go pick up my papers and pay out of MY pocket to get this done. What did I pay $363 for? Never again will I use this place and I will make sure to advise friends and family from ever using that location again!!

I feel that I have been ripped off financially by the charge of $294 for a very simple return. SS, W2 and Home interest. This return was not rocket science but a short basic reeurn. No I will not be back and I will notify anyone who asks what a price gouging I took

Ii have been using HR Block for years. I was very pleased with the speed the returns were completed but I was very surprised that I was charged $100 more for my return this year when there was nothing different from last year's return.

I received a letter from the IRS saying that I owed over $272,000 in back taxes, interest and penalties on my 2015 tax return! That return was prepared by the HR Block office in Carefree. I hired a tax attorney to straighten the mess out. The tax attorney said the 2015 tax return did not properly handle the sale of my home in 2015 (the entire proceeds were treated by the IRS as capital gains and the penalty for an early 401k withdrawal was not calculated correctly). Once everything was squared away with the IRS, I contacted the HR Block office to recover attorney fees, interest and penalties. I spoke with Brittany who informed me that the office was under new ownership and management and she would get everything taken care of. They gave me a $200 credit in tax prep fees to cover attorney fees and are working on getting me reimbursed for penalties and interest (approx. another $200). We just had our 2017 tax return done by Mary (in the Carefree office) and couldn't be happier....she was very thorough, patient and knowledgeable!
