NAEC is horrible. 0/5 It can be a sunshine, blue sky day and the power will go off. Seriously. If it's raining, ya better get some candles out. The rates are ridiculous, and fluctuate wildly, almost as if they make it up as they go along....the customer support deserves two thumbs down. Ive needed two extra days for a paycheck to hit on $20 leftover on a light bill to be told to ask a church to help me. ???? What the heck is the $200 deposit even for???

As for NEXT, part of NAEC, the internet itself is great. The rest of the company is not. I've had bills auto draft and then had my internet shut off. I work from home, so this cost me a days worth of work because I thought maybe they were doing line maintenance. Wrong, I had to go to their office only to get laughed at before my internet was turned on again. Their customer service is junk. Janelle needs to retire or something....

And here I am today, with them trying to auto draft my bill three days early on a three day weekend. Really frustrating when ya make plans and can't access over fifty bucks now that you weren't figuring in until a few days from now.

I love the internet service itself. Customer service is horrible. So tired of trying to call and pay my bill for days and not being able to reach anyone so I get shut off and have to pay a reconnect fee. Robbery. If I didn't do my job I wouldn't get paid for it. The people who should be answering the phone are definitely not answering the phone. The wonderful people at the electric co-op end up having to take care of it. Unacceptable

If I could give a rating of 0, I would without hesitating. This company (Next) doesn't care about anything or anyone, except taking advantage of people. Im getting charged nearly $500 for something that was NEVER installed. If it was, I would have done been using it. I have proof (recording) my phone records automatically of any phone call coming in or out. The gentleman that works for the company called me telling me he couldn't get me hooked up because he would have to go through someone else's attic and that he never got it installed. Long story short, they are billing me because I called and told them to not worry about it and that I will go with another company that can help me out. Crooked place!

On one hand I was without power for 4 to 4 1/2 weeks and NAEC, didn't fix it, another electric company from out of state fixed the power in 20 minutes what NAEC couldn't fix on over 4 weeks, not good. I own a electric water heater and don't want to maintain it anymore. So I called to rent one and they do the maintenance. I had to drive to the office 25 miles away. I didn't find out until the next day they had me sign the wrong paper work. Now they decided to not make me wait for the right paper work to get signed, a good thing. The outside contractor was great, another good thing. I have more stories and that's part of the problem, I shouldn't. I may not be objective enough to rate this one.

Feels like I am living in the 80's with the electric going out all the time! It has flashed on and off at least 4 times in the last week or so! Every time it happens you have to reset every dang coffee pot, stove clock etc! Getting to be a royal pain and happening more frequently without any inclement weather!

If I could rate 0 stars I would. We have consistently had issues with Next. I depend on internet for school and I cannot afford to keep having issues. Next sent out two technicians today to my home. Neither technician explained to me the problem. The only thing that was mentioned was that there was an issue inside and outside. They were at my house approximately 30 minutes and without a word they left. I did not know if they would be returning, or if the issue was resolved. I only knew they were leaving when I heard the engine start on their vehicle. I assumed they were documenting and would come back in to speak with me. I was wrong. Then, at 9:58 p.m. tonight my internet lost connection again. The time it took for someone to come out was great. The level of service I received is below average. I am going to make a formal complaint tomorrow. I rely on internet. I pay my bill faithfully. I just want service that is dependable.

I'm getting frustrated with NAEC's NEXT. I registered our home and got a call saying they would be out in October 2020 to install, which was awesome until October rolled around and no sign of the fiber installers! I called and asked and a different lady tells me our home isn't even on the list for the next 2 years, apparently she can only see 2 years out bc they only makes plans out that far. This is ridiculous, I hate being told one thing and another happens. They have great internet but need some work on keeping their words.

Internet and phone got shut off even though I didn't owe a bill, I had credit on bill to cover this month! Tried calling... What a joke! No one answers them you have to leave a message for NO ONE TO CALL YOU BACK!!! WOW JUST WOW!!!
