My significant other and I came here for lunch, we both had the fish plates and they were amazing! I give it a 100/10 rating it was so yummy it’s definitely on my list of places to come back too!

Absolutely delicious homemade food. Great atmosphere, super friendly staff and a huge selection of dishes.

We had a the muther clucker and fried bologna sandwich, as well as the fried pork chops and all were absolutely delicious.

We will definitely come back and also check out the breakfast because we have heard great things of it!

Friendly, fast, along with great food. Charming and comfortable atmosphere for someone dining alone or the whole family. Fish is great, I think its on Thursday at lunch.

We have enjoyed the Hen House since moving here. Until today we only had 1 visit that wasn't the best when we got served some very tough hamburgers. Today was HORRIBLE and due to the decline in quality and good service we will probably not be going back.
I will start by saying it was lunch and they were fairly busy when we got there but not as busy as previous visits when they were far more packed then. Today we waiting nearly 15 minutes to order. Followed by 57 minutes to be served 3 cheeseburgers. When asked to check on our order we were told "sorry we're really busy but I'll check"

I told the young waitress I understood being busy but why were we seeing other people come in 20 minutes after we ordered, get served before us then watch them pay and leave before our food was served. Her response "well they ordered the special"

I'm sorry but it DOES NOT take a hour to make cheeseburgers. Orders should be filled in order of when given to the kitchen. Not giving family or friends food just because they are. A special still needs to be plated and made. Again 57 minutes for burgers that take no more than 6 minutes to make. We were told after 40 minutes of waiting after ordering they did not have one of the sides ordered. Why in the world would you wait 40 minutes to tell someone you can't fill an order only to bring the food out and then tell a customer you found some of that side afterall

There was no reasonable offer to discount the meal at all. The fried green beans did not get ate since they were HARD as a rock. The pepper jack bites also were like biting into a brick. When there is exploded cheese burned BLACK and crispy a 16 year old would know they are WAY overdone. Two of the burgers were good the 3rd physically looked old not fresh. It was cold, black and extremely stiff. A McDonald's burger would have been better

Maybe there needs to be a focus on the business instead of a new food truck. Along with finding better quality staff that knows how to cook and provide even remotely adequate service. Otherwise maybe either choose what used to be a good restaurant and fix the issues or shut it down to do only the food truck

My cheese sticks came out cover in ranch. 1st I don't eat Ranch 2nd I never asked for Ranch. So I had to order 2nd batch thats 1 way to make money. 2nd batch covered in marinara but than Ranch but still ask u will find out I want nothing with them like I said. Then my double cheeseburger came out cardboard much lord. My 1st visit definitely last visit. Service slow no refills on drinks. Never checked on us it was horrible if I could give negative stars ???? I would. Good luck if you go.

I stopped by the Hen House Cafe for lunch. It was Fried Chicken Day, and I ordered the white chicken breast with black eyed beans, mac and cheese, and mashed potatoes and gravy. Afterwards, I enjoyed a piece of the strawberry cake. It was delicious!

Excellent food! Best fish I’ve ever had. ( although they only serve it certain days). Homemade burgers like your granny made! We enjoyed everything we ordered. Waitress was friendly and checked back to make sure our tea was refilled and asked if we wanted dessert. They had fresh coconut pie that was just like grandmas. I can’t say anything negative. I would definitely recommend.
