Great views, great food!! When visiting Petit Jean State Park, Cedar falls, Visitor Center, etc. you will drive by Mather Lodge Restaurant and Cabins. Beautiful area and lodge. Such a peaceful area. The menu had a great variety. Catfish & the Reubens are very good. Their desserts are fabulous. The peanut butter pie is a must! Great friendly attentive service after waiting to be seated. Small gift shop in the lodge. Outdoor trails, benches to just sit and look at the beautiful scenery.

Great place for a meals at reasonable prices. Atmosphere is phenominal, especially at sunset. We honeymooned at Petit Jean State Park in 1975. Returned in 2023 for 7 days on a spring trip to our home back up north. Found the location of our original campsite. Would like to return for our 50th anniversary.

It was truly amazing, beautiful, food in the restaurant was great and the staff were all amazing. The only thing that was kind of a bummer was that we tried booking a room two months ago and website kept saying it was booked no matter the dates we selected. We did end up getting a room at the lodge for the last week we were there. Definitely worth the stay!

Such a gorgeous place! Absolutely love the Cedar Falls trail even though I nearly passed out haha. It's quite strenuous, but so breathtaking! So many cool things for the kids to see as well, but be prepared to carry them most of the trip!

What is not to love about this place??? The view? Amazing!! Food? Delicious!!! Service? The friendliest! We stopped here to eat after hiking and the experience did not disappoint! We started off with salads. Everything at the salad bar looked so fresh and tasted delicious. Grilled chicken and burger were both great. Chicken poppers for kids meal were delicious too! Chips tasted good too. Good coffee and dessert too. Definitely going back!!

We came to see cedar falls and happen to see this restaurant. We got burgers and grilled chicken and we all finished our plates.

Thank you ladies of the lodge! Lindsey at the front desk was extremely helpful, taking care of my princess while my oldest son and I ate lunch after a fun hike. Dont remember the hostess name, but she gets a big thumbs up for loving on my girl while we ate.

Waste your 2 hours it takes to get your food, after you complain, somewhere else. First, the sodas tasted like rust. We ordered a beer with salt, the waitress comes out with a beer in a mug that's overflowing all over the floor, while standing at the table. Half of the beer was on the floor. We order fairly quickly, and after an hour of waiting (and seeing other patrons that have walked in after us all get served and leave, we ask how much longer. The waitress doesn't come back until I ask for the manager. Lo, and behold, she is the manager. She says that she's busy, but I'd just seen her and other wait staff in the private dining area chatting it up. Our food comes out, most of it cold, we just want to get out of there because we've already been at the place for 2 hours now (between waiting for seating and food). We finally get another manager and she gives us money off. The waitress, I find, is in the front bad mouthing us because she sucks as a waitress. Never would I recommend this place.

We get back to our cabin to eat the food, most of the order wasn't right. The palisade steak sandwich was dry, over cooked, and the bread was hard. The slider burgers were premade patties and not at all fresh made.

Thanks Melissa. You should learn a thing or two from your coworker. He turned over 5 tops faster than you could and was way more nice. Learn some humility. Because that was terrible. The way you acted as if everything were perfect, made you look foolish. You had 3 servers at your table and we can take a mistake or two, but you totally screwed yourself out of a great tip.
