Cool place. They love their veggies so be prepared for a salad with your omelet which makes for a perfect macro blend. The dressing was really yummy. The Root Benny was good and the kale was tasty. Overall a cool experience. The pancakes looked good and the ham was good. Thinly sliced and not as salty as regular country ham.

We stopped by while driving through Little Rock and The Root Cafe was a great place to take a break with our golden retriever since their patio space is pet friendly.

The line was long, but worth the wait. The interaction with the cashier / host was great - he has a ton of fun facts.

We were cliche and tried what Guy Fierri had and were not at all disappointed. One of the best pimento cheeseburgers I’ve ever had.

After reading The Mighty Rib list The Root Cafe among Top 20 burgers, we had to give it a try & were quite happy we did! The burgers were excellent: cooked & constructed well w/everything fresh & tasty. The sides were top both, too - the salad w/house vinaigrette accompanied the burger superbly, and we added a side of sweet potato fries that my husband especially bragged on (fresh made!). Service was good w/average wait time, & our after-summer-rain timing made sitting on the patio pleasant even in July. We have had excellent omelets here in the past, but I still want to try their biscuits n gravy. Also, we learned that The Root was noted by Diners, Drive-ins, & Dives, so that further inspires us to return for the pimiento burger and bratwurst.

The Root Cafe obviously uses the best ingredients because everything we have tried there tastes fresh and delicious. My girls rated the choc chip pancakes with whipped butter and REAL maple syrup. The coffee was some of the best we have had in the US (real coffee, just like what we can get in Australia). Poached eggs were poached to perfection, and the ham was delicious.

The staff were friendly and polite. It's counter service, which seems to confuse a few people used to the typical over the top customer service common in the US. We felt right at home.

Anytime we are in Little Rock we will be coming here for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Such good food! Salad dressing is delicious. Recommend chicken curry salad salad. Super reasonable prices. Staff so lovely. Super cute & relaxed decor.

Great overall experience with friendly quirky servers. Been back several times with several different people and it is consistently excellent. Try the Kimlet! Fantastic drink with some many layers of flavor. I am a seasoner with my food and never adjust theirs. It is just right out the gate with interesting combinations that are rooted in tradition and given new kicks.

We came across this place while searching for brunch places as we arrived into town. It was easy to find and we found parking on a side street. We were welcomed with a smile and someone explained us the process to order. We arrived after breakfast, so we had to order from the lunch menu.

I had the Pimento burger and my spouse the Spicy banh mi. We were told that the food was going to take around 50 minutes, but we decided to ordered anyway. The food came to out table and in probably around 20 mins.

The Burger and sandwich came with a side salad, which was delicious. Portions were reasonable and we left feeling full.

My spouse's sandwich wasn't as spicy, but it was still good

Both of our sandwiches were delicious. Chicken salad tasted super fresh and the Indian spices in it were lovely. The beef in the Jamn skippy was very flavorful, and the jam and cheese on it was delicious. Also ordered a spicy brownie, which made a yummy snack on the road. We ordered takeout and ate at a nearby dog park. The place itself also had a very cute, casual, communal feel. Would definitely go back!
