A bit of the bayou in Little Rock!

TL:DR
Almost everything here tastes great, and the service and atmosphere is amazing. Downside is a few items that don't live up to the hype. Avoid the potato dishes and you'll LOVE it!

Details:
Headed here with some work friends on a Monday evening. We got in fairly quickly, and the service was AMAZING the whole time. Quick to refill, good menu knowledge, very friendly.

We got a variety of dishes, and almost everything was incredible and authentic. Gumbo is dark and delicious, spicy and good! Crawfish Etouffee and Shrimp and Grits were highly rated by all. I had the "Paul's Favorite" which was a tasty (although a tiny bit dry) salmon with delicious crawfish rice.

We tried the cheesecake and the bread pudding for dessert. Both very good, but not the best I have had of either.

The only thing I would recommend NOT getting is the French Fries or potatoes. They don't really get any seasoning, and are a bit overcooked.

Overall, worth a visit, and more than one if you get the right things!

This place is cool, def gives off old school bar/dive joint with its old school wood walls and floors. Their food is definitely top notch and a taste of Louisiana. Brought back memories of days in Abita Springs, they even have Abita beer on draft! Sat on the patio, definitely recommend as the weather is nice!

Stopped by for the first time and I got the fried crawfish for an appetizer which I didn’t like and they took off my ticket without me even asking. For 3 meals it came out to about $38 with drinks so it was fairly cheap. Also featured is a side pasta, gumbo (which I’d mostly ate when I thought to take a picture), grilled cheese, and crawfish étouffée (a heaping serving, ate half and brought half home). Staff was quick and polite, kept our cups full. Also very friendly. Had a great time at a decent price!

Got the shrimp and grits. A little disappointed at the grits were fried and tasted like Corn bread. The bread putting was very good. The place was packed ut looked like most were ordering fried fish.

I have been eating at Faded Rose for years. I order the same dish every single time I come. On my most recent visit my food came out cold and scattered on my plate. The presentation was awful. I attempted to speak with the manager and he was extremely rude. He walked off while I was voicing my concern with my dish. He clearly was upset about something else before he arrived to my table. I even had advised him that I had been coming to this particular restaurant for years. He was not concerned if I wanted the dish to be made over. He literally grab the dish off the table aggressively and walked off. The host as well as the bartender knows me. I have never complained about anything at this particular restaurant. It hurt my feelings so bad that after supporting a restaurant for years that in the event of voicing my concern I would be treated like that I begin to cry. The waitress and bartender came over to check on me and continued to apologize for something that they didn’t even do. I work in management so customer service is important because ultimately customers are who keep your doors open. Especially during these times when businesses are closing left and right in Little Rock. To the manager I forgive you how you treated me because it’s the Christian thing to do. I hope god blesses you despite how you treated me.

Shoutout to the crab cakes! I have a hard time figuring which one is better, grilled or fried. Haven't had a bad meal here. Enjoyed the shrimp and grits, etouffee, and gumbo.

If you are looking for creole cuisine, this is the place. They have an outdoor dining area and indoor bar. It's a nice place to bring friends. Just know they get busy during certain times of the day bc the food is so good.

Food was fair at best. Only good thing we ate was the spicy shrimp appetizer. Not a bad place to eat. Guess it was the dishes we chose. Wife got the shrimp creole and I got the shrimp ettoffe. Just wasn't that good. Also the bread pudding to us was not that good. Fair at best. Lacked flavor and didn't like the texture.

I had the stuffed mushrooms (appetizer) for dinner & it was divine. Will go back for dinner next week for a full coarse. Superb !!!
