Great location and atmosphere, very authentic without being rustic.

Parking lot fills up at peak time so carpool if you can.

Service was prompt and personable without being bothersome.

Was impressed with the “chopped brisket” tacos, which have large chunks of barbecued brisket very similar to burn ends, which I love.

They are particularly known as one of the few locations in the area that serves alcohol during meals, and locals rave about their weekend only dinner ribeyes, which are excellent.

They are not joking about not making any accommodations for special requests so now that before you go if you have any strong preferences or dietary restrictions.

I walked up the stone steps to the gift shop, which had a very nice selection of random hipster type items to choose from but I did not find anything related to the local area, which is what I was looking for.

Doesn’t exactly match the balance of local authenticity and taste that the restaurant achieves.

Well, definitely go out of my way to visit here again if possible!

I've eaten here at least a dozen times and I haven't had one bad meal, everything has been awesome! Good atmosphere, friendly staff, places for the kids to play, and generous portions! It's worth a visit or two

Always enjoy my meals at the Skylark! Steaks were wonderful and cooked to order and the yeast rolls were delicious!

I ordered the special. It was a Ribeye with all the vegetables. I can't remember ever eating a better steak. Everything else was great as well. My first time here. It won't be the last.

This place was great! Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area. The cafe offered indoor and outdoor seating and the atmosphere is really inviting. The food was delicious and all seemed so fresh. Most of the menu items seemed to be healthy choices. They also offer a wide variety of beers. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be making another stop when I’m in the area!

This place comes highly recommended by my mother!

So I was running in for a late lunch. By late I mean 2:50!

The staff was very friendly and helpful. French onion soup was homemade and has a very rich flavor. Walnut salad was fresh, grilled chicken was cooked perfectly and was very moist, candied walnuts and crasins added just enough sweetness. I can’t wait to go back and try something different when I have more time.

By the way the cakes looked amazing but I didn’t have the time to stay and try one.

Who knew that this quaint gourmet restaurant was just off the path ? Worth planning around a meal here. Roger and I were on our way home from Branson and randomly selected to stop and get lunch at this cafe. We were thrilled from the delicious savory tortillas soup to our hot sandwiches, topped off by hot coconut pecan pie.

I love going to skylark. So cute & unique! I LOVED the seasonal papas fritas, & I’m still a big fan of the Italian Grilled Cheese. The Lemon Lovers cake is my FAVORITE, whenever they have a slice. I wish the spinach dip was more spinach than cheese, but that is just a personal preference. You can’t please everyone! I highly recommend stopping by if you’re ever in the area! :)
