So glad we chose this place when traveling and wish we lived closer. The best Mexican we've had in a very long time.
Chicken and mushrooms with a side of beans. Wonderful gluten-free, amazing flavor.

Great food! Good service. We had 6 people and everyone enjoyed their food! It was right off the highway. Very clean restaurant and restrooms. We would definitely stop here again!

Food was great. Prices very reasonable. Dont let outside effect you, looks like large pole barn but interior very nicely decorated. Our wait person was on top of it and service was fast.

Update 7/14/23 Placed an online to-go order for a Rice Bowl and a Healthy Rice Bowl. Estimated wait time was 15 minutes. It was ready in 10 minutes. Way “to-go” La Terraza. (Pun intended.) Rice was one of the best we’ve had, and we eat a LOT of Mexican food. Moist and good flavor. Came with chips and salsa. I like a lot of salsa with my chips, so I felt like there should have been more than two small salsa’s, but that’s just me. Salsa was decent. Not watered down and not chunky either. It was good enough for us to consider stopping here again on our return trip home. Thanks, La Terraza.

Inside Tip: if you prefer to eat outside, consider getting to-go and head to the Rodney Angel Sports Complex just behind the restaurant. There are pavilions with picnic tables next to a playground.

From 2018: Ordered chicken fajitas to go at 2:00 on a Saturday and they were ready in 10 minutes. The rest of the family still had not made it to the front of the line at another fast food place. It is a decent option if you’re wanting to branch out from fast food chains. They had a nice clean interior as well if you are looking for a dine in.

Very good service: Friendly and attentive. A Very Cheery upbeat atmosphere ???? Colorful. Burrito California was very good and they did not skimp on the steak. Guacamole salad, refried beans and cheese dip with chips, all good. Plenty of food. I highly recommend this nice establishment.

Stopped in last evening mainly because it was the only option in town. Overall it was okay enough that I would stop back. But the food was lackluster besides the side of grilled jalapeños. I would eat these things all day long that’s how good they were! Table service was just average and all that one would expect.

Chips were good too!

Girl took our order.
I ordered a beef chimi with chili instead of cheese sauce and as my two sides - from the menu - charro beans and stewed potatoes.
My date ordered and the girl disappeared.
I mean. Disappeared.
Food was brought by someone else.
French fries. She brought me French fries.
I asked about the stewed potatoes from the menu and she said she didn't know why they were on the menu - they have never had stewed potatoes. Well. Shouldn't they have said "We don't have stewed potatoes. Can I offer you French fries instead?" Then I could have chosen my side instead of it haven been chosen for me?
We ran out of chips. Found another someone. We got chips.
We ran out of drinks. Found another someone. We got drinks.
I can eat Mexican food every single day. I love it so much!
But this was so so spicy that within two bites my mouth was on fire. That was a problem because this was in the time frame that we didn't have drinks!!

We have scooted down the road with La Terraza in our rear view mirror.

That is my recommendation for you too - just scoot on down the road. Leave La Terraza in YOUR rear view mirror!

The salsa is good but not worth the rest of the experience.

Food is good but not the greatest Mexican food, however the service is very good and friendly. Good atmosphere and they give large portions of food to you so bring your appetite. The punch they offer is superb so I highly recommend that you buy a gallon to go. We stop JUST for the punch when we drive through Lake Village.
