Big portion, reasonably priced and foods are delicious, try their sizzling T-bone steak my family favorite. Lots of free salsa with warm and crispy chips, family friendly atmosphere, also very friendly service. They're always busy especially on Sunday.

We've never been here before and coming from California, being basically raised on Mexican food, my standards are pretty high and I'm picky. This restaurant had the most reviews and a high rating so we decided to get a Supreme burrito ???? - one steak one fajita chicken. The burritos are massively huge, this will probably be two meals, dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. Everything is excellent, and very tasty! Came with a bag of chips and two salsa. If I was back in the area, I would definitely come here again and would probably try one of their combination plates next. Very good, don't hesitate, stop here and eat!!

Living in San Antonio you get spoiled to the amazing amount of Mexican food that is available to enjoy. Visiting a restaurant called El Mexico I was excited to experience a taste of home . The staff was extremely nice and the customer service is top notch ????. My review is based solely on the food . For one , if your going to be a Mexican restaurant why do you not make your own in house tortillas? It is a complete disappointment to pay for store bought tortillas at a Mexican restaurant ????. The flavors were a miss, the texture was also a miss . The people are great and the staff is worth every penny spent to support them , I hope there are improvements made to the food .

My friend and I had lunch here and it was the best I have ever tasted. Our waiter was very patient and eager to please. I ordered the street tacos (3 for $7.99). They offer like 5 kinds and I asked him about the al pastor. He gave me his opinion and then suggested that all three did not have to be the same kind… mind blown! I got one with Carnitas, one with fajita, and one with Pastor. The tacos were amazing and very filling! I have never had al Pastor, but I know I will have it again! Well done! I would highly recommend this place!

Very friendly staff at the door. Clean restaurant, and very spacious for seating.

Was immediately seated, and the menu is pretty standard Hispanic affair for the area. Had been here years before at an older location and the food quality, menu, and staff has greatly improved.

Food can be ordered in two sizes, a lunch and dinner portion. The dinner portion is on par with other places. Ordered the Seafood Rancho and asked for so it to be spicy. They delivered. It had a good kick to it. Kudos to the chef for not being stingy on spice levels.

Came here with a critical mind as the old restaurant wasn't that great, in my opinion. Now, I'm glad my expectations were well met. Everything went off without a hitch. Good food, pleasant experience, and I'm satisfied.

I left happy and full.

5/5, will have to come back.

Great huge portions, I got the make your own. For $7.99 I got 3 burritos and rice/beans. The burritos were bigger than the ones taco bell serves if that helps.

First time here. We had combination plates. We liked the tacos, salsa, chips & dr. Pepper was good. I had chicken burrito & beef enchilada. The meat filling didn't have much taste. Generous amount of food for the price. We will come again.
One other thing. One of the employees were packaging the silverware and she was picking the forks up at the eating end. WITHOUT gloves on. YUCK!

First time to eat here. It was clean and bright. The waitress was friendly and beautiful. The food was exceptionally well priced. We'll definitely eat here again when we are back in the area.
