First, let me start by saying. If you're fat and the only shape you're in is round, this might not be the best thing for you. The "short" trip still has a multiple of ups and downs but at least it's not stairs. MAKE SURE YOU BUY YOUR TICKETS IN ADVANCE! This is most important. We didn't realize you needed to get reservations. Luckily we ran into a nice couple at Cedar Falls and they let us know. I jumped online at 1 and the soonest tour available was at 440. So plan on advance and get those tickets.

As for the views. The cave is BEAUTIFUL! They allow pictures so bring your camera but leave the flash off.

Beautiful place to visit! The caverns are beautiful and the swimming spots nearby are as well! Be prepared though, the water is COLD!!!???? Great for cooling down on a hot day though! Inside the cave is nice and cool as well. We were fine wearing shorts and a sweatshirt but you don't really need one (unless you're cold natured).

This Cavern is the most beautiful we've been! The tour is so organized and the tour guides are amazing! These photos could not justify the beauty of this living cavern. A must see when you visit Blanchard Springs!

This place is so cool! We made a 3.5 hour drive to check out the Cavern and it did not disappoint, however the recreation area was also amazing! Kids got to to swim around in a crystal clear creek, and explore beautiful bluffs in addition to the Cavern tour which was awesome. Definitely buy tickets a few days in advance as they sell out pretty quickly!

Absolutely AMAZING!
We went on the “Dripstone” tour a few months ago. We enjoyed that experience so much that we came back today to go on the “Discovery” tour. Each tour showcases beautiful features, but our guides really made the experience truly enjoyable. Buddy and Christy both shared their knowledge and insights to ensure we could have a full appreciation of the caverns. We felt as though we were special even though there were 16 other people on the tour as well. Buddy and Charity answered questions and took great care to ensure we saw the many interesting aspects including history of the humans and changes in animal habitat.

We truly felt like we had a personal friend who was sharing their insights to provide an insider’s perspective even though they take many people through the caverns multiple times each day.

We had a great time here taking a tour of a cave 200 feet underground! The guide was very knowledgeable and helpful! The formations were remarkable and the ecosystem was mesmerizing, as we saw a few bats fly through. It was around $16 per ticket when we went on a Saturday. We had to wait 1.5 hours for the next available tour, which wasn’t too bad. We used this time to check out the nearby waterfall and trails. They also had a gift shop with a few rocks/ crystals, Blanchard Springs memorabilia such as shirts and mugs, a few snacks such as chips and twizzlers, stuffed animals, and more. I would highly recommend for them to consider opening a food truck (or a few) outside of the building for customers to enjoy while they wait. Since this is in the middle of nowhere, food options are few and far. They could make a lot of money and improve the quality of the visits with a food truck offering burgers or hot dogs, etc. Just an idea. Very lovely place with lots of beautiful natural scenic views worth checking out!

Jasmine, Johnny, Tom and Alice are some incredible guides! Everyone was very kind, knowledgeable, and funny. This is the most beautiful cave I have ever seen. A hidden gem! Well worth it! Children are welcomed and included in tour activities.

AN ABSOLUTE MUST SEE!!! Expectations were minimal so this blew us out of the water- we did both tours (drip stone and discovery) in two days and loved every second of it! The guides were knowledgeable and helpful, paths were easy to follow and really the cave spoke for itself. I’ve never seen anything this beautiful underground- could have spent many more hours down there just looking! Kids loved all the facts and learning about the ecosystem!

Please support this federally protected and forestry run gem!! They talked about wanting to open the wild cave tour next year which is more like guided spelunking and sounded AWESOME! Ask to be put on their list of interested participants!

Last plug- the campground was very reasonably priced ($15) although no hookups and no reserving- but beautiful, peaceful and right on the river
